Switlife: Yeeeessssss!! Big congratulations to the successful ones so far; Airsaylongcon, sexyjob, artmedia, ibmaleeq, princeofparis, et al. To everything there is a season!
To the hopeful ones. Remember Proverbs 3: 5-6! well, I really wish I was in this your list. lol, I would have changed my name to prince switlife. As it turns out, I'm still in d dark too. feels great that most of my guys have already been raptured. Sorry this is coming late on here. I have congratulated u all in person except for MrSneh whom I couldn't reach. Congrats guys, you all deserve this and more. For the rest of us, we can only pray for the best. Hopefully, we get called. God knows best. We gave our all at the AC, might have entered Total or Saudi Aramco with our performances but I feel NLNG knows what she wants. 6 Likes |

naastyme: Regret mails were received. I also know someone who got one.
ItsTime4me: When mails were sent on January 25, how many souls attested to receiving the regret mails here on NL? Only one person - my delectable whatsupguys. And well about 200 regret mails were sent then. So the fact that no one has come up here since last week Thursday to attest to receiving the regret mail does not mean that nobody received it. You think it's easy to come up here to say 'I got a regret mail' after this looooong wait? Little wonder someone said that a person who got the recent regret regret mail deleted it immediately. Why do you think the person did that? One word: Frustration. So you expect such person to come up here to say 'Hey guys I got the regret mail'? very hard! Good enough, some persons have come up here to say that they know people who got the reject mails. This shows that they did really send regret mails on Thursday of last week. So, what I think we should be concerning ourselves with at this point is, how many of us are left and their plans for us, as the wait is damn is excruciating. I would suggest that those who can get reliable insider info should please do. I have so much mixed feelings here. A combination of hope and other inexplicable feelings. My trust is in the SUPREME JAH and I will always believe in his undeserved kindness. Wow...what a heart warming and convincing reasoning bro! You can't imagine how much you've uplifted my spirit this afternoon. Meanwhile PTDF also handed me some branch to hold onto and avoid getting drowned in that highly disastrous sea of anxiety that flooded that Thursday the morning that followed the heart-wrenching day, it was sooooo timely mhennnn!!! So NLNG I'm still hanging on that branch waiting for your life saving chopper to come and carry me to your beautiful island, sweet bonny island! I know you are the company that cares, I know you won't let me down, I know I won't be disappointed. 1 Like |

I mean, I didn't get any correspondence whatsoever which isn't nearly as conclusively end of the road as getting a regret mail but I couldn't even come up here and say anything rather I was just busy waiting and observing (though up until the close of work on Friday it was partly in hope that mails would still roll in so it wouldn't be that I spoke too soon) Congratulations to all those who received success mails, hard luck to those that received regret mails and for the rest of us, may the odds be ever in our favour. 7 Likes |

Jwhizzy: I must confess that I have had a tab open on my browser for this thread since 2014 and I have a daily ritual of refreshing in the mornings, at lunchtime and right before I go to sleep. I have created a mental picture of what all the regulars look like. I will say a short prayer for everyone who is expecting, that God surprises you and gives you a testimony.
In the euphoria of mails being received, let's not forget to say a special thank you to those who helped us with the wait even when they didn't have to. Forkadict, Kaitung Dplacement, Artmedia and his reliable sauce, Nicer, Saved2Serve ( who I suspect went awol but may have reappeared to us using an alternate moniker), and many others.
Special mention to a few hopefuls who made this all fun; ladyf, airlongsaycon, sexyjob, Ezinne, ashleeee, ItsTime4Me, DMainMan, the "this week is not the week" crew, the "page 300" crew, the "first on a new page" crew.
However this turns out, I want us all to never stop believing in God's design for us. What may appear as a disappointment today may be a testimony tomorrow. Case in point - fresh out of nysc many years ago, I tried to get into a gt position in a multinational that was top tier in terms of pay (outside of the IOC's). For some reason, it didn't work out despite having to travel from abia to pH to Lagos at different stages. I was broken but I moved on. Fast forward to last year, this guys saw my profile on LinkedIn and started to call me left right and centre to take a manager role. They were willing to bend over backwards to whatever terms. I still turned it down. Moral of my epistle. There is a grand design for everyone and if you are reading this, you are destined for greatness. Thanx for the mention. And finally we now have closure. I therefore gracefully bow out of the thread. But just before I do that, I would like to say a big congratulations to those who made it. And for those that didn't, I would like you all to remember one thing- This is not the end of the world. Bye folks. 3 Likes |

Bro! You can call it unfair, heartless, wickedness, torture and so on. But my own opinion is that it is completely unacceptable and insensitive for a world class company to pull this kinda stunt.
A regret mail or a waiting list mail could have been sent on the same day the success mails were sent. I can only imagine the pain those wifout strong mind would have passed through that night. Alot of us spent the whole day refreshing our mails and others were simply disoriented @ their place of work.
The fact remains that they will still call more peeps in the nearest future, but their approach to this is not right @ all. some peeps could have developed HBP the day the mails were sent. I still remember someone in here who eventually got the mail later in the day saying he was still shaking after he received his mail, so just imagine what would have been going through the minds of those who were refreshing their mail box.
I want to say a big congratulations to those that were called. I want to say thank you to the peeps that contributed to making the wait worth the while. i want to say a big thank you to folks that were selfless through out the race and a special thank you to Kaitung, Artmedia, Xenox, Saved2serve, Forkaddict, Nicer, Dmainman and all the wonderful ladies in the house.
To all of us still waiting to hear from NLNG, i will say be strong and look up to the future. I wish us the best of luck.
Have a splendid nyt rest folks!!!
Thanks for the mention. Remain blessed. 1 Like |

From what forkadict has said. It's over, done and dusted. But for my brethren that didn't get the mails, take solace in the fact that God is still on the throne. I strongly believe that after the medicals, there could still be some trickles of positive mails. Even if it is 1 new call, you could be the one to be called. I believe in God's undeserved kindness. We(positive mails) are not here because we were the best. To some, it was the odds(say quota or the like) that turned in their favour while to some others, it was nothing else but miracle. Just imagine, a case where your state had 1 slot and you passed the general cut and was the only one left. Compare that to when 20 candidates passed the AC from your state and there is just just one slot available. Sometimes, being the best in your state is not even a guarantee. Imagine when you are the best in your state but the needed number in your field of study(say Law) has been met from those that performed better from other states. In a case like that, the mace goes to the next in line. When we think of all these, we just have to give kudos to NLNG. Considering the No Quota alternative is truly not sustainable. Remember the first N in NLNG stands for Nigeria. In conclusion, I would say that we were all successful. Those that were not called are the true Heroes of this country - sacrificing their excellence for one Nigeria. #myviews 7 Likes |

Nay, it was a miracle to even make it to the final AC stage, considering the humongous number that began the race. That said, if it is indeed true that some got a regret mail and some haven't heard a word from NLNG, then it goes without saying that the recruitment exercise isn't done yet. That is only logical. So we remain ever HOPEFUL as ever that God will give EVERYONE of us on here some form of closure... I still DO NOT think it's done and dusted. For some reason I refuse to accept that.
For those talking about miracles, I concur. From those sisters that wanted to climb different stairs I'm WAEC to that Data Checking in SHL to the presentation at AC, these are all situations when I said "Mehn, e done be! I sure say I fit pass like this?" I was particularly worried about the presentation in AC as in my personal evaluation I had goofed big time mehn. Misquoted some stats and even alleged that the problematic employee wasn't meeting target even though that was very incorrect. So yes for me it has been a miracle galore this whole process. And I can only expect that it's the same for a whole lot. There's still one gorgeous lady I know without a doubt will get an email. You know who you are!
And to the July Z crew (all those of us that wrote on a particular day last July) I know Bonny Girl has gotten an invite. I misplaced my phone and lost all your contacts so it'd be nice if we connect. PM me
Lastly, I was born June 6. 6 Likes |

Happy Birthday 1 Like |

of course I choose and pray option 3 prevails and no longer bother even if it's 2 years max.
And, unlike before last thursday, I now pray I don't receive any mail from NLNG very soon cos I believe the longer it takes to get a correspondence from them the more assuring it is that indeed I'm kept for a possible positive plan in the future. According to a source that is not unreliable who heard from a not so reliable source who in turn heard from an unconfirmed source, more mails will come in this week. 1 Like |
