Our secuirty set-up (subject to change) Your feedback will be highly appreciated. - 10ft high wrought-iron fence (no fancy cars for us in Naija) - Rose bushes against the fence and below windows - Motion detector light's - Window/door sensors - Glass shatter sensors - 140db siren if any of the sensors are triggered - 2 dogs (we love dogs so they will be pets rather than guard dogs) - Shotgun... for sport. (shout out to my uncle) |

Hi NL, I'm trying to purchase this land property from Opic. The place is called New Makun City. I like the location cos its a strategic point for someone like myself that love country living. I'm original from Ilishan right opposite ikenne; and not working or living in Naija full time, i think that location, which is just before the Sagamu/Ore interchange, can be a nice location for a weekend/retirement gate-away house for our family. As always, the problems with this process is the NIGERIAN WAY OF DOING THINGS; i just find it difficult to give my hard earned money to someone in anticipation of get a land in the near future. I was thinking that by dealing with GOVERNMENT, i will be shielded from fraudulent practices. Nope, i was wrong again!!! Can you believe someone is telling me to drop #3M+ and go sit down till they decide to allocate land for subscriber( More like Gullible People)? 1ST PROBLEM: I DON'T GET TO PICK THE LAND AM PAYING FOR 2ND PROBLEM: AM PAYING IN FULL WITHOUT ANY CLUE WHERE WHAT IM PAYING FOR IS 3RD PROBLEM: I WILL HAVE TO SUPPORT FRAUDULENT PRACTICE THAT HAS BEEN MADE NORMAL IN NIGERIA; I AM A CIVIL ENGINEER THAT SHOULD KNOW BETTER HOW CIVIL PROJECT SHOULD WORK NOBODY SHOULD PAY FOR ANY LAND WITHOUT KNOWING WHERE IT IS ( aKA awaiting ON ALLOCATION) ; THATS OUTRIGHT FRAUD!!! GOVERNMENT FOR THAT MATTER!!! 2 Likes |

mufutau55: Baba Agba, You are referring to "Wet-tie" now, in western region, abi? Like you said, Juju is not all bad. Its a means (knowledge), given to us by Eledumare (What Oyinbos call God) ...to solve our own peculiar problems. God also gave the white people their own, which they used in solving their own problem and developed their environment and culture. After solving most of their own problems, they came down to Africa, (with Bible in hand) and told us our own 'legacy' is bad and evil.... we should discard it! We "gullibly" accepted this.... and condemned our own heritage! Thus, we are destined to ALWAYS and FOREVER play second-fiddle to the white man. Question l always ask is: Was the Bible (Religion in general) not there when you White people were developing your own land, using non-Christian means (mysticism, illuminati, e.t.c). Just like they are doing with Coal now. Coal fuelled the industrial revolution in Europe and America in the 30's to the 60's. When they were done with the "cheap fuel" that Coal is, they came and start telling us that are yet to develop and use our own Coal for development, that the use of Coal is bad and should not be used! Anyway, l am privileged to have witnessed how "our Native Medicine" is used for good, how powerful and efficacious it is. I have seen it with my own eyes, used to heal ailments that defy western medicine, used to impose social order, used to control excessive behaviour, used to improve agricultural yields in farms, e.t.c. I can vouch for it 100% but there are too many "fake Doctors" all over the place! As for "putting thoughts into words" ....... small Boyz like me are looking up to you Sir! omode o le'lakisa titi, ko'lakisa agba. Translate = No matter the level of "historic dress" a child might have, he cant have one that is "more historic" than that of the elders". I remain humble. Lastpage! 4 Likes |

msogunro: I love the 140db........will disrupt the shyte of any intruder. To be honest, too high a fence and totally enclosed fenced in Nigeria is not encouraged.........Robbers could lay siege inside without neighbours being aware. A see-through fence with high railings is more effective. 5 Likes |

diordaves: Your head dey there! Imagine if Neighbours are passing and thinking "That Baba-Olowo is inside enjoying his life ..... not knowing that Armed Robbers have held him hostage for the last five days, eating breakfast +Dinner while finishing-off his Hennessy ontop of some small defilement of innocent souls"! Happened at Ayobo almost two decades back, the victim was my MBA classmate and as the Class Guvnor, l personally took charge of the Burial arraignments from the point of view of "academic colleagues", with the consent of the family. It was a horrible story. As bad as "some neighbours" can be, allowing them to do "Aproko" inside your compound (to a certain degree) could come-in handy. Lastpage! 6 Likes 1 Share |
