For the chicken coop, I'm toying with the idea of wrapping her in aluminum roof material. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder so not asking about that. My question is which is more economical, that or the traditional plastering and painting? Thanks.

true2home: If I'm to advice you, get into installmental payment with OPIC. Or get something from PropertyMart "The Cranbel" also inside the proposed Makun City. The design looks so good on paper but like you rightly assume it's not going to be ready anytime soon. They (OPIC) should have adopted a model where people gets allocation on paper and are asked to pay certain amount of money to get physical allocation and pay the balance over certain period of time. They'll get more subscribers using that approach. The guys are trying to do something but I don't think they've got the capacity to manage such a big project yet unless there is reincarnation of the OPIC of the 80s. Even go through OPIC website, you'll see that you're very unfair to take them too serious. If it's "buy and tie down money" investment you're planning to do, then it's a good place to invest. Note: The Makun City will make more meaning if it has alternative access roads apart from the expressway. I'll ask about that before I pay kobo o! ____________ For me I'll be looking at having something around Iperu, Ilishan-Babcock and Sagamu-Benin Expressway as those areas are going to witness exponential growth pretty soon. There's a big shopping mall planned in the key cities in Ogun state (Mowe, Sagamu, Ijebu Ode, Abeokuta) 1 Like

Chekitaut: Baba Chekitaut, if I may ask what do you think makes the Makun City very ok? Is there any good reason for the downward review? Are you aware the proposed city was the former Games Village called Gateway Paradise City which was conceived 10 years ago and later scrapped by demolishing already built structures? Just asking because I may be interested if there's something that can convince me it won't be a failed project like the Gateway Trailer Park at the interchange and the Paradise City. I still believe it's a good plan though with Lafarge and Tye-Walls' proposal for a lightweight steel construction. I'm not following up with the development of that project. If there's goodnews, bro lets have some. What I'll be more interested in is the infrastructure development plan and security. |

n3xt:how much is land in these areas presently? |
Re: General Topic Thread-To Discuss Anything And Everything in Building Construction by n3xt(m): 5:17am On Jun 10, 2016 |
agarawu23: +/-500 - 1m Max. They are not estates but smart investors can pull resources together to buy land in mass and build a mini-estate. It's also not a bad area for those looking to build country-homes. Iperu - CountryHome and pad of the likes of Dapo Abiodun, Adebutu-Kessington, Gbenga Ogunnoiki, Salako etc. Just to mention a few. Ilishan-Babcock - Not a bad area to invest if youre delving into commercial properties (hostels, resorts, hospitality, apartments for city dwellers working in Babcock etc). Yeah, I mention resort cos of the success of LivingSpring resort, Iperu. You'll discover people in these areas are yearning for something missing. Pic: Dapo Abiodun CountryHome in Iperu.

agarawu23: The guy is a rich, silent, oil and gas Baron. He celebrated is 50th birthday of recent. Very rich guy I must say. I know he's from Ogun state but never knew he has this good structure in a remote place like Iperu remo. Abeokutas and the Ijebus are the cream de la cream of the Yorubas, no doubt about that(education, money, influence, well travelled, fame etc). They even make the largest percentage of those who call themselves real Lagosians now. 4 Likes |

Hi House, Sorry to bump in .I have been following this thread and find it quite informative . I have interest in the fascia boards for roofing. I am working on a particular rental property project and the picture below is what the roofed part looks like so far. I have never done the fascia thing before now so I need advice on what to do at this stage and what type of fascia can be used for this kind of already done roofing. Useful inputs will be appreciated. Please note that the building itself is not completed and this is just one third of the building size but it was roofed because of the need to store building materials and avoid theft. Thx

ajibsca:the way you cropped your house to 0% seems to me you are kinda private. If you need public opinion, you will come out in FULL. BTW using parapet on a complete roofed house will cost u more and some little damages. |
