Oga FFK, you better return our money and stop the grandstanding. Metuh said more than this and today, members of his family are begging to return the money he collected just to stop his trial. Be wise now, do the needful before it is too late. Buhari got no chill, he will ensure you are jailed for the money you looted if you don't return it in time.

FFK knows if he refunds the money he will still go to prison because the money can be used as exhibit against him,so he would prefer to be jailed and enjoy the money later.

More so, under the Act, all offences can be compounded by plea bargain. So, it is not about imprisonment any longer.”

be consoling yourself there...is it not when the prosecution agree to a plea bargain option that you will not go to jail...

He further argued that one of the co-accused in the charge, a former Minister of Finance, Senator Nenadi Usman, who allegedly received the money from government and paid Fani-Kayode, wrote that she did not know the money was from government. So, how would Fani- Kayode know?

if fani-kayode wos using his sense he would know that the money is stolen blood money....when almost a billion was allocated to you from another ministers company account...haba mana...

In the motion dated June 15, 2016, Raji argued that the offences, for which his client is charged, are bailable. “The Defendant/Applicant has never been convicted of any offence in Nigeria or any other jurisdiction. By Section 36 (5) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 (as amended), the Defendant/Applicant is presumed innocent until proven guilty. “The reputation and past credible record of the Defendant/Applicant attest to the fact that he will not jump bail if he is granted same.

we dont know that for a fact? if a former minister of defense and ambassador to Ghana and another former minster of Justice can evade justice by running away dubai and USA, and also another former minister of petroleum....what stops a Fani kayode from doing same...we simply dont know that for a fact.... grin grin

To all of you talking about rule of law and subversion of justice, hear this;
It is much cheaper and stress free if it does not get to litigation in court. The UK prosecutors had to ask Ibori for a bargain to cut cost of prosecution and time wasting. Even if the cash ddnt belong to the govt in the first place, what work did he do for the giver of the cash to warrant that kind of reward. FFK is asking for a trial because he knows our justice system is crap. Our leaders are lucky that alot of Nigerians are just plain gullible.
But your Justice system isn't crap when EFCC procured black market injunction in keeping FFK more than a month without trailing? sheer hypocrisy like someone called it.

You come and call alot of people here stupid but in your second point you are trying to justify receiving this huge amount of money without knowing where it came from?

So if a friend of yours who is a civil servant came to you and gave you 50 million naira and said he did not know where it came from, you will just say the Lord is good, collect and move on. Abeg na hep me reason am.

On your first point, someone stole your phone and sold it. Now you track it to the buyer, what would be your next course of action?

My main point is you should try and have a balanced point of view, things are not always simple.

Your choice. Return the yam and get leniency or remain stubborn and be treated like a criminal that you are.

How is he a criminal?

Which court has convicted him?

If the EFCC have charges against him why not take him to court?

It amazes me the way some ppl here actually yearn for an outright subversion of democratic tenets, rule of law, civility and diligence on the part of the prosecution.

It is absolutely wrong for any law enforcement agency to arrest and detain without evidence and preparedness to charge d arrested person to court. That is very unwholesome practice packed with intimidation tactics to place any person at an unfair disdvantage.

I see people here baying for blood like wolves forgetting that in the eyes of the law, everyone is presumed innocent until proven guilty and therefore entitled to goodwill and fair treatment. I wonder when young Nigerians will mature beyond blind passion and political affiliation to understand that the law is supposed to be a dispassionate and stabilising essence in any society.

They are all here demanding that money abi yam be returned but none were able to say same to Mr Daftus whose academic qualifications are in question as to suitability to contest and become president. None of those here demanding for unproven allegations have also screamed that Buhari should simply produce his certificate and put paid to allegations instead of hiring 13 SANS and 10 other lawyers to begin delay tactics. Where is that infamous integrity?

Just a bunch of cowards on this thread yet they claim to want the good of the country while the rule of law is disdainfully relegated.
I'm afraid for the number of nincompoops in this government. Just imagine some comments from idiots condemning the innocent when their corrupt c-in-c sits illegally in Aso Villa? SMH

I was expecting that he would vehemently DENY that he colleted any money and that Buhari is just A WITCH! "Witch-hunting" him.

But just listen to the audacity with which his only defence is that "I dont know where the money came from".... yet you took it and lodged it into your won bank account?

Honestly, until we impose death penalty (like China) on people like Nnemadi, FFK, Dasuki, Metuh, e.t.c... who loot the assets of all Nigerians, this people will think we are just playing with them.
