Brokenheart....hmmmm...you just opened a wound I have been trying to heal since March..
U just have to forgive your husband, try to love him like you used to BUT keep a very thick boundary for disappointments BECAUSE HE WILL CHEAT AGAIN..
You might find out and you might not..whatever happens, always keep yourself happy because your happiness lies in your hands..
He is not worth you having postpartum depression cos if you are ill, he will go out again..
So who is at the losing end..
Get yourself together, stay prayerful and stay strong..
May God bless Your home..

I'm really learning a lot here many thanks to the beautiful people on this thread.

It's supposed to be hard dear after all an human being is flexing there. Just take enough water or fluids, doctors recommend 3 litres everyday. Enjoy every moment of your pregnancy. I'll try not to worry about it if I were you as long as I'm not constipated. Very soon, we will start feeling LO's kicks and that's a new experience I look forward to. Welcome once again to team December.

@ Enkaydewdrop some of us like you just the way you are, you light up this thread and I always look forward to reading from you

@ Enque, I think 13 weeks is a good time to start antenatal visits in Nigeria. It's a bit different here where I reside as antenatal usually starts at 18-20 weeks for close up monitoring but you are required to have been seeing a doctor as soon as you found out you are pregnant and the doctor will refer you to the main hospital when you reach the 20th week mark with all your bloods and urine tests sent to them because they believe any pregnancy that gets to that point is viable and they'll do their best to bring out the baby alive. A friend of mine here put to bed at 28 weeks and the baby is strong and healthy now. I pray we all carry to term and both mother and baby(ies) will be alive.

@ jazzyjazz, I was the queen of morning / all day sickness. I took B3, all kinds of medication with no luck. I had it really bad but what sometimes helped was crushing the meds in tea (Lipton not coffee o, a bit of milk and sugar) and then sipping with a straw SLOWLY. Also ask your doctor for ondonsetron, the wafer type that just melts on your tongue. It's expensive though but it gave me relief. I always took it 30 minutes before a meal but was sure to distract myself with tv or the Internet while it's in my mouth so I wasn't conscious I had medication on my tongue and surprisingly it worked. You should get checked out for dehydration, it's very common with women who suffer from hypermeresis gravidarium and that's likely the reason why you feel so weak. For now all you should be concerned about is eating something, it may not be the perfect diet because whoever has not experienced severe sickness won't understand. If it's ice lollies, a bit of ice cream, anything that doesn't have a strong smell and can be easily swallowed and tolerated, pls go for it. Semo and the likes may be too much for your system to handle at this stage. (I talk from my personal experience) Try ewedu soup too, I took mine with a spoon, again slowly. Also you can avoid cooking for now, I noticed anytime I cook I wasn't able to eat again for the rest of the day as I'll throw up right from the kitchen to the room. If your DH can help out with cooking or help you get food from a good restaurant, that might help you. Foods with strong smells are a big trigger for vomitting so keep that in mind too. You have to just keep trying daily, yesterday's strategy may not work for today. You need energy for now, your baby will be fine and as your pregnancy progresses, your appetite will increase. Hope this helps, the Lord is your strength.

@ heartbroken, BritneyStacy has said it all. Pls try to get tests done and pray for him. Most men that cheat once usually go back but God will uphold your marriage and you will be victorious. Yours might be an exception. You will be fine

zimunachimdi:
mamas pls how do I take care of a circumcised baby boy?
Will he still ve pampers on after the cut? Someone said original engine oil is used to cool it off. How true is it?

Help me!
Cc:and other sweet mamas

PLEASE DON'T USE ENGINE OIL!!!!

For my son what I did as advised by his paed was:

1. Buy square gauze; it's usually sold in pharmacies

2. Buy vaseline blue seal. Apply it on the gauze and cover the p**nis before wearing the diaper and change the gauze each time u change him

Again, I think care type depends on the kind of circumcision. I didn't do the ring one; mine ws more lik a simple surgery.

Other mamas, pls help her.

You're supposed to register at 12weeks and dh is right to be worried. But you can still register at 16 weeks so you can start your TT shots and your pregnancy can be monitored. Dont let it delay further
My hospital insists on 12weeks and even ANC is two weeks interval for everyone and once ure 30weeks, u start coming every week, because they always like monitoring their patients. And i that is what i prefer. There is no harm in that

I'll choose vigilante over all this aches and pain...

When everyone is cold, I'm hot...
I'm stooling constantly...
My pelvic bone is constantly on fire... It makes it hard to sleep...

Only God knows how many litres of pee I offload everyday...
Now, I'm having on and off cramps and lower back ache...
There's no comfortable sitting position for me anymore...
I'm beginning to react to the smell of perfumes and food again, just like first trimester...

I'm not even bothered about the stretch marks and 21kg that I've put on... Those ones can be worked on...

I don beg my own pikin taya... E just dey use me play for almost 2 weeks now... Abi en tink say me and am na mate? Lol...

I thought yesterday was "the" day, cos I was having very regular, but somewhat painless contractions.... Like 6-7 in one hour... Only for them to disappear later...

Barka jummah to my muslim sisters.
barks Jummah to you too, my dear sister.

I concur with that last bit o. All experienced mommas. Please come o. Share the good, the bad and the ugly. Not to sound insensitive, not my intent cos I know what painful journey it could have been. I

lost my first at 8 weeks last year too.
No real explanation was given to me, I snuck a peep in my file and saw "ovarian irregularities" Highlighted as reason. I asked what It meant, he wanted to act up that I read my own file but my face shut him up. He was saying they were not sure, could have been my ovaries or compatibility with my dh or stress.

I went with stress. That Preggie was a tough one from day 1. I couldn't walk three minutes without stopping to rest. Everything was stressful even taking my bath. So when the pain started at around 12 midnight, I just prayed and prayed for it to ease in any way.

And now, my LO is as calm as an Angel. I avn't felt any nausea (so far so good) for a day. No loss of strength unnecessarily. I eat normally and all. In my first trimester I began to wonder if belle dey dia as I felt nothing.

Na scan reassured me say I'm actually carrying a foetus at 11 weeks then. He/she is just an angel, for now oo cos these days sometimes I wonder if he/she kicks on purpose just to worry me. grin

I'm expecting third trimester. Maybe all I no get in first tri go come but I don dey beg am, make e no trouble me too much oo grin

All in all, we'd like to know pls. So we know what to do rightly and we are doing wrongly.
