To be sincere with you when I came across nairaland back in the days I don't comment rather read good comments from mature minds but you are just jumping here and there insulting and abusing defeating the set objectives of this forum.
If you are doubting you can create a topic that will bring out those whom have really gained positively from nairaland.
Grow up my friend . we have professionals and great people on this forum home and abroad more than you can imagine..
On this forum people fall sick and millions is raised to save a soul it's like one family. be funny rather than abusive, some people come to nairaland to read very funny comment.

Trust me bro. You'd know. If your girlfriend isn't anticipating a proposal from you, it only means that there's no bond between the two you. It could also mean that communication is poor and you guys haven't discussed marriage, family, kids et al. These discussions are not preempted. They just come spontaneously. Both of you just find yourselves talking about family, kids and all. I'm not expert on this subject matter, but common sense applies.

Why should I panick that my girl friend whom I'm a serious relationship with would decline my offer. If she declines your offer, it means she's only putting up with you or using you as a pastime. No lady, I repeat no lady that is into you and has a level of emotional connection with you would discuss marriage and settling down with you. If she doesn't then you should worry.

Panicking or anticipating a decline might mean you forced yourself on her, or has rejected you on so many occasions but by the virtue of the fact that you refused to back down, she yielded not out of love, but becuase she needs a breathing space. Girls are not trophies bro. Be an ambitious and a career focused guy and no lady would want to let you go.

I'm thinkin of making arrangements with an eatery attendant to make a cake with ''Please Marry me'' written on it with icing sugar a day to mine or her next birthday ... Then would take her there on the day for us to celebrate. Then after placin our orders for food and drinks, at a moment I'll give the attendant a sign to bring the cake to the table. And when I open the cake and she sees what's wriiten on it, I'll kneel down with the ring in my hand and say some sweet words to her and give her the ring. Please how is this idea, hope it's cool?

It was her birthday which coincidentally fell on a working day. I had arranged with a cake maker to do me a cake with this caption written on it, "thanks for this 5 years, let's do forever. Be my wife".

I got a delivery guy to delivery both the ring and cake beautifully wrapped together. When they announced her name that some delivery guy have a parcel for her, she was surprised as the guy pretended to be in love with her and came to wish her happy birthday. She reluctantly opened the parcel. The heading of the write up made her shout for joy as she saw HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY DESIRE! THANKS FOR THIS 5 YEARS, LET'S DO FOREVER. BE MY WIFE.

In fact, I was called to come take her home as emotions couldn't let her see through her daily task
