If only the NDA are fighting for the Deltans, because I don't seem to understand why the burden on Mr. President who is just a year older in office. Was it Buhari that caused the mayhem in that region? the answer is NO, it is obvious that their agitation is a clear sign of hatred for Mr. President who despite their efforts to destabilize the economy, he still set aside good plans and programs that will benefit the people in that region.

There is nothing going on in that region that Mr.
President is not aware of but if truly the militants' interest is the overall development of that region, then they should just allow this fresh government to operate and execute it's plans with peace of mind. The militants know who to hold responsible for the underdevelopment of that region, atleast one of their kind ruled the country for six years with huge allocations and contracts to that region.

So time has gone when militants gets public sympathy but now everyone knows that their leaders and representatives are their worst enemy not Mr. President.

Anyways...before July is over...all this madness will cease. They are gradually beginning to see that Buhari is not the main problem but their immediate leaders.

All these areas did not become under developed in one year, yet they have been collecting 13% and have Niger delta ministry, NDDC and other ministeries over the years to develop this region. None has complained of underfunding but yet nothing to show for it.

The invitation, which was delivered in a statement on Saturday, comes three weeks after the group warned the president to “sign his death warrant” before visiting Ogoniland.

“Buhari is trying to visit Ogoniland, but he should sign his death warrant before coming to Port Harcourt or try to visit any state of the Niger Delta community, Biafra land,” a suspected NDA member had told IBT.

“We are starting a dance he cannot finish. We shall dance like vultures. He [Buhari] has dared to wake a sleeping lion, but I promise him this time around if he tries to step his foot in any community of the Niger Delta, in Nairaland he will not go back alive.
