bellong: From what he told me he said the advice he gave me was based on his experience. The initial admission he got was a master in health management but he said he had to stop the programme due to the way the course is being taught. He said what they do mostly is report writing. He will be starting his BSc in health management this month to the same university. I've spent 3 years in banking industry. This is my fourth year running. |

odeloladf: He must be attending a junk school. Masters are taught as much as Bachelor. Probably he did it to extend his visa... I know people who completed masters and never complained about this rather they complain of too many lectures. If you have close to four years experience, why stress with student visa when you can get a PR. 2 Likes |

bellong: Thank you bellong. I was thinking in the direction of PR too but I got confused at a long the line. Here is my issue, I studied accounting at the University but am currently working in the banking industry as a sales person. If am to apply for the PR under which CSOL /SOL (general accountant or marketing specialist) am I to apply and which assessing body will assess my documents. |

hustla: Forensic accounting is another hot area but it's also linked to ICT. If am right most schools don't take it in isolation as a master degree course. If you know any school that takes it in isolation kindly inform me. Thank you |

Toche1: I know that feeling. It was tough for me too at the beginning cos I thought it'll take 14 days max 21 days, as I read past timelines on this thread. Now I'm just going about my business. heavybullets: POTUSUK: I should travel before then too, but can't make any concrete accomodation arrangement or any other arrangements yet until grant drops. Ive been looking at this website though, but you have to pay to send a message https://flatmates.com.au/ 1 Like 1 Share |

onyemamuoc: Have you gotten your offer letter? Your campus is written there, you don't have to wait till you get to school before you 'determine your base' |

odeloladf: Nah I don't know much about Universities in Australia, haven't even decided the exact country I want to go but I'm sure the gurus on this thread WI help out Can you hint me on what your connect in Australia said about IT courses and availability of jobs in Australia. Abandoned Australia to choose between US and Canada cos I couldn't seem to find ready made Australian IT jobs, I probably am wrong now Kindly share what your connect said and other thoughts. Thank you |

POTUSUK: Accommodation in Sydney is quite pricey, flatshare is the in thing. You can google it to learn more. I don't like campus accommodation cos it's too pricey and you get to share a room with other people, I can't share a room. Prefer flatshare. And staying on campus can restrict your social life cos you'll be meeting mostly students. 2 Likes |
