Since we are throwing around credentials, I am a construction engineer with years of experience operating heavy equipment all over the world. For the purposes of what a tractor does, this is not a tractor. I have no problem with innovation. This is what you do not understand, but calling this what it is not is dangerous for potential patrons. He can label it whatever he wants, but a tractor, it is not.

Chai, You are wicked. Hmm.

Guy is using the equipment on a farm. Therefore = Tractor.
He even painted it green = Patriot.

I'm very sure EVERY construction equipment you use is imported. JCBs, Wheeled Loaders, Pay loaders, Tracked loaders, Tracked Excavators, Boom cranes, concrete mixer, Trucks, bulldozers, graders,... (I knew all the names as a kid - Lego things!). If Engineer Guy had made his ass-Backward tracktor/Excavator whatever, you personally will not buy it or go for it. Because it is NIGERIAN and does not CONFORM to the LOOKS of what you are used to. Rather than selecting based on function.

And there lies the problem. You comprehension of what a tractor is. We are not talking about the looks but the functionality of what a tractor does. It is like calling a cat a dog because it has four legs. If there was a competition for tractors, you would not be able to compete in it because it, by definition is not a tractor. How is this difficult to understand?

What the guy designed is a machine used on a farm. A tractor is a machine used on a farm.
What he made is a tractor. What is hard here now?

Some tractors do this, some others do that. Every tractor is not these same. There is no point in making all tractors have exactly the same functions. They are specialised by function and capacity.

All cars at not the same. All bikes are not the same. All bikes are not the same. All PCs are not the same. All mobile phones are not thesame. All aeroplanes are not the same

However all of these equipment have 1, 2 or 3 similar traits that make us identify and classify them.

Dude made a Nigeria Tractor. A UNIQUE product. Face the fact.

Ok. Smh.

Of what good is an invention if it is already made by someone else? You could easily have just bought/imported the other one. The money this guy used to invent this tractor is much more than it costs to juts import one small thing from China. He just wants to show you that a Nigerian can innovate - can think - can create something very unique and targeted to this particular economy. Probably using all the raw materials right her from Nigeria. ENOUGH of importation.

Bro's. Do you even understand what you wrote. I tried to let go and leave you with your ignorance of comprehension and functionality and still you keep coming back for more. No one is arguing that he cannot invent or create something. What we are saying is how can you call something what it is not. Is a car a bicycle because it has wheels? Answer me this. Don't run around in circles. Just answer the question i just asked you.

Bros, no make me vex this morning. Since you're praising them, oya answer this simple prayer

May God design your life just as those engineering students of Nigeria designed those 'cars'. Oya say amen.
Grow up dude. There isn't much difference between the this one and the Nigerian made you sampled their pix. The UK based guy has the support of state of the art equipment to make stunning prototype bodies unlike Nigerians who don't have same equipment and resort to doing panel-beating of metal sheets to produce prototype bodies.

finally someone that understands .
Nigerians just crave thing blindly without understanding know how behind production. I would like the dude to tell us how much the prototype cost and let's compare it to the Locally made alternative. People don;t know that these prototypes they crave are made with state-of-the-art 3D-printers that consume expensive printing materials.

No. A car and Bicycle are different. Yes they have wheels, but they are different.

You are of the opinion that what dude made is in no way a tractor JUST because the bigger wheels are in front.

What then is it?

The guy is the Engineer..He designed. he manufactured it and is using it for a well known function.

What then is it?

And please don't look refuse to be fair in your naming convention because of his skin colour.

Oya name it?

(Be careful now of your front and back tires o.)

Oga pippimp, you are arguing with a nairalander. I sorry for you. You go de here till thy Kingdom come. To him it is a tractor. You better leave him in his ignorance. Abi you no see say the thing get big tire? grin Na tractor na.

The problem with Nigerians is that once ANOTHER Nigerian does something you CANNOT do, you will not give him credit. Just because the person didn't do it EXACTLY the same way Oyibos did it.

Do you think they are bothered if you copy them? They have done their own designs. You do your own designs. Let us compare.

I know better than to argue with a Nairalander. I agree with you. It is a tractor. Case closed.

Yes oh! more of it.

Not hating, I think dude did smtin very good with what he has produced.

However, both of you should check the meaning of "invention" in the dictionary and stop using this word in the wrong case or situation.

Go back to your dictionary and find out what invention means, come on!

An invention is a unique or novel device, method, composition or process. The invention process is a process within an overall engineering and product development process. It may be an improvement upon a machine or product, or a new process for creating an object or a result.

I hope you are good with this...

Thank you...so that's not an invention...because it's not an improvement neither was a new process involved in creating it.
