That's the wrong type of vehicle or test-bed to tinker with.

And in Cape Town, Nautic Africa delivers another 2 35-metre Sentinels to Nigeria, Aquashield I and Aquashield II. The Paramount Group seems to be doing well attracting business in Nigeria. This makes it what, five Sentinels delivered so far?
There's MV Sir Emeka Offor, launched in August 2014. Another two Sentinels, Augustina II and Princess Ebikenie, launched in Cape Town in August 2015.

And in other news, Paramount Group has delivered 4 Gazelle helicopters to Malawi Defence Force. Pity the Malawians didn't opt for the SAWS/FLASH system.
Henry, any confirmation yet that Paramount is arming Nigerian Gazelles with the FLASH system?

PIC1: Paramount Gazelle with the older SAWS package;

PIC2 & 3: Gazelles in Malawi service.

Hahaha! Can't post anything about what I'm currently working on. Suffice to say it encompasses various scenarios involving both 4&5 Recce, Pathfinders, the Marines, the police STF, the Counter Assault Team of the Presidential Protection Unit and the CSIR.
Besides, I got a reprimand for some of my pics here.

But there were rumours here, on Beegeagle, and various SA forums that the Nigerian Army Air Wing had contracted Paramount Group to arm their Gazelles exactly like this.

So, let me get it straight, you won't be posting anything from the SANDF or a couple of the pics you posted in the past got you a reprimand?

Would you be attending AAD 2016?

You current job description sounds interesting, reminds me, what was your role in the SANDF deployment in the DRC. In general terms( no need for specifics) what were you tasked with?

To be honest, there's been no news from there. I was hoping that you would have something from your angle, remember you talked about getting clarity from your published defence export report? Has it (defence exports) been released, does it say anything about trade between Nigeria and SA.

I aslo suspect that we would be getting at-least a 30mm gun for the Nigerian Navy's recently constructed "40 meters seward defence boat".

We're prohibited from posting anything in the operational area, no matter how innocuous. Exercises are OK, but nothing involving SF and Pathfinders. And clearly with the DRC pics I was in breach.

Yes I'll be at AAD.

I'm a lowly planner.

I don't think the Nigerian army's air wing has been floated yet. The army is currently holding it's celebration week, we should expect to here what the army is currently doing and what it going to do.

What SA forums reported the rumours?

We have to await confirmation from the Nigerian army.

Okay, that's been cleared. This means we, the entire board, would b looking forward for your front-row contribution from AAD 2016 participation.

Apart from the Mbombe 8, are we going to see anything new from the SA industry?

I almost a year now, I heard of it then but till now we av not seing any NA gazelle weaponized, how long does it takes to upgrade choppers with FLIR POD & rockets...

The only one av seing was armed with a browning- MG. And what I heard it was weaponized by NAF engineers.

We have to await confirmation from the Nigerian army.

Mainly the 1st phase of the celebration has being church and mosque thanks giving, public awareness, free health services to some communities and cleaning of environments in all states of the federation.

because of the Muslim festive period there is a break and of which phase will be the field exercise:- These will dovetail into the Second Phase from 11 – 14  July, 2016 in which troops of 1 Brigade would be engaged in a Field Training Exercise (FTX) involving realistic and varying war situations in Bakura Forest, Gusau Zamfara State.
