The instruction is clear...send them a legible copy of your passport data page, duly certified by the embassy...via ground mailing.

Viel Glück.

The situation is quite vague. Ermmm.. Go on and fund first...then take if from there.

I have instructed for €8090 naira equivalent to be transferred to my account...cos that's the total on my DB account opening letter.

However, if DB insist on €8690, I will supplement.

That's how I see it.

Brotherly, I'm your humble friend with whom you ate after the whole process. I guess you now know who this is? lol. I used the contact form on the DB website to ask about my form on July 5 and I got a response today that they are still working on it. Here's it, word for word:

Thank you for your request regarding opening a blocked account for international students.

After having received your complete application documents, authenticated by the German embassy or consulate, it may recently take 3 to 5 weeks to open the account and inform you via eMail
due to the very huge amount of applications. In order to keep the account opening process as lean as possible the student service does not send separate confirmations for receiving your documents.

If you do not receive your confirmation within this common handling time, we kindly ask you to contact the student service directly, as blocked accounts are exclusively handled by this department:
https://www.deutsche-bank.de/pfb/content/pk-konto-und-karte-international-students.html?pfb_tab=34880-34883#pi_34879

Please also remember to check your spam folder regularly in case your confirmation is being blocked automatically.

We hope that this information is of help to you and wish you a pleasant Thursday.

Kind Regards

Your Deutsche Bank
Gunnar Wiewiorra

I guess we should all just be a little patient.

Yes it is good to obey the law, but in Bremen here almost all African student work more than that, because if you work only 120 full days as stated, your 8040€ will dry up.Remember that 120 full days is only 4months and 450€ is not enough,I think they are keeping blind eye on that in this part of Germany, I dont know of the other part of Germany, those before me here have worked more than that for many years without any invitation. Some Cameroonians, Ghanians and Indians have stayed here for four years doing masters of two years, they do one or two course in a semester and work full time year to year.

What you are saying is true, because one Nigeria guy won a scholarship here and they invited him for an interview and ask him how will they give him the scholarship since he is sending 200€ back home every month, that the scholarship is meant for poor student and they cancel the scholarship. So they know everything about our activities but some time they just keep blind eye.

Gud afternoon bro. Am planning to do my masters in Germany but I need information from someone presently there. Please can I have your mail or whatsapp contact so I can ask a few questions?

There is this Igbo proverb I learnt back in the days from reading chinua Achebe's books about a certain bird that has learnt to fly without perching bcus the hunter had learnt to shot without missing.

This proverb is now very applicable to German train tickets controllers who av now deviced new means to catch schwarzfahren. They no longer search in moving trains like before again cus peeps without tickets just come down at d nearest stops only to board another underground train.

Wat dey do now is wait at all the exist of underground tunnels and ask u for ur tickets wen u are coming out. U can't exonerate yourself that u were not on d train wen no b time travel u do. I was surprised wen I was stopped for my ticket as I was stepping out of d elevator. My argument that I am not presently in d train held no water as he insisted I must av taken d train ride to be able to use d elevator. I just jeje show am my ticket. Germany is getting more interesting daily. Do anything to be part of d fun biko but don't kill, kidnap or sell houses to raise that 2.8 m. Bis später

I av a kweshun. What if d pesin I kidnap is na bad pesin. Can I come? :-)✌

Eke40seven:

You can show up at the interview with a different admission letter, no troubles.
The admission letter you used for your appointment booking is not a binding requirement at the interview just as long as you present a valid admission letter during the interview with which the onward processing of your visa will proceed with the content of the accompanying application form indicating this also.
In essence, no question will be asked regarding the sameness of the admission letter for interview booking and that's why they ask you from the start, the name of your school and course on the interview day.

Thanks for this clarification. In the event that your admission letter is not ready at the date of interview and you have only got confirmation of admission email, what does one do?
