The last time checked, Ebonyi no dey owe salaries. The governor even ordered that December salary be paid much earlier than Christmas period. This is a non-oil producing state with low IGR. Meanwhile, Governor Ajimobi of Oyo state is owing salaries in spite of the state's high economic potentials & IGR. Comparatively, Osun is even better off economically than Ebonyi but our 'progrethief' governors would rather waste our meagre resources to install an endangered ab.o.ki as Aso Rock's occupant.

The truth that Mallam Buhari does not like to acknowledge is that state governments which find it most difficult to pay salaries are those which were extravagant with their resources, failed to plan for the rainy days & used state monies to fund APC and Buhari's ambition. Or how does one explain the fact that Anambra & Ebonyi are surviving while Oyo, Osun, Kwara are crumbling. Some PDP-controlled states are also guilty of this, particularly Ondo state. Ondo should not have been in this mess had Mimiko saved for the rainy days also.

Those people have office cars they met on ground, and have individual cars and earn good allowances to transport allowance so tell me why this, if not waste, instead of using it for viable projects in the state! I partly did my nysc in this state, Afikpo to be specific when this gov was a deputy gov and that state is backward really, so this gov who has being in govt for yrs should know better!
It is about individual gov not parties I insist.

The man in the street has been told to tighten his belt because of the austere times we have found ourselves in. However most governors on both sides of the political divide are carrying on like there was no tomorrow.

Moreover is it that the salary of these legisLOOTERS is not enough compared to the minimum wage of N18,000 to warrant dashing them SUVs on top?
Anyway if the people of Ebonyi are so carefree about how their:

- federal allocation
- taxes/IGR
- loans

are spent while they do not have:

- TAP water
- education for all children
- good roads
- clinics and hospitals

that can create EMPLOYMENT for their people so they don't flood into Lagos state to be abused by Yorubas, na them sabi oh!

Our ibo brother, Innoson, sells such jeeps but Una no buy from am whereas FG even bought some of his cars. Later una go say other tribes are against us...

How so? To the best of my knowledge every state does this. In cross river it was worse each got one Ford ranger pick up and one Ford explorer SUV as at 2011 o only God knows what they'll get now. The masses complain on line but hail them to dust whenever they come to the village, we are our own worst nightmare

Reckless spending. Plateau state acquired 2016 Toyota Camrys for honorable members at N11million per unit for the 24 members. As at today less than a year thereafter, almost all the members had sold theirs because of the cost of maintenance.
