Don't all Russian MIL helicopters come with the President S defensive suite?

Looking at this syrian conflict, the Russians are going to get bugged down in a long drawn out war, there has to be a significant surge in Russian military resources and then a subsequent draw down.

11 Russians lost since they fully joined the campaign isn't a significant loss anyway.

Allot of the gear Russia has comitted to operations over Syria is legacy era as they cannot afford to lose any modern gear with the current cold relations with the EU. Because of the way Russia structures its military, with military districts and without any standing expeditionary formations, they have to strip home formations to deploy stuff abroad.

That being said they are sending over their carrier with a batch of 12-15 Ka-50/52s for operations.

A missile that had a propellant failure post launch - it popped out the tube, got caught in the rotor wash and struck the helo

Watch the video, you can see the detonation right after a missile is fired and you dont see any missile headed towards the helo

that was a successful rocket launch ,clearly seen.are you telling us a rocket whose speed is 610 m/s could suddenly lose momentum to 0 m/s and hit the tail rotor,i can see physics wasn't you favourite subject !

Yes, in limited numbers. Their Hind fleet is primarly Mi-24P's, while they withdrew their newer Su24M2s and Su25SM's.

The started the operation with the "tip of the spear" but they scaled back and now the majority of the platforms deployed are older varients. The only top-teir asset continually deployed has been the SU-30SM's.

They started off using Syria as a testing-ground and showcase. But that phase is over, now its a grind that is putting heavy ware and tare on their assets and they have adapted accordingly.

Everytime you see some high end equipment it has a purpose - first operational Ka-50/52 deployed for a few months, evaluated, and withdrawn. Now they want to experiment with them from carriers and will do so for a short time and withdraw.

Deploy, evaluate, withdraw. Every single time. Or do you think that they switched from Tu-160's to Tu-95's because the Tu-95 is a better bomber?

The bulk of the work in the riskiest regions goes to the old warhorses.

Where is your evidence, link or proof?

I do hope it's Nigerian though, we've had a requirement for a modern 4 Gen aircraft seen like yesterday.

The colour scheme is quite different from what the PAF use, kind of nose job Nigerian military officers would ask for.

They were questions Henry240 not statements. I am also thinking the "JF-17" on the side implies PAF.

Africaken it is good that you are proud of the kps. But this also shows that you are a naïve and stupid. They are corrupt have low morale and incompetent. I am there. Jea has and is growing and they probably do not know about it until it starts operating very soon.
