I eventually lost 90% of my fries on Saturday D 13th day o. On Friday night my pumping machine got spoilt Nd couldn't repair it until d next morning. I tot d water in d geepee tank will sustain me through d night but only to discover dat d water stoped flowing in d middle of d night and almost all my fries were gone. Don't really know if dat was a reason for dem to die cos d water stoped flowing through only just for few hours. Thanks to all that have really been of help. I guess am finally signing out on hatching.
This is my fourth unsuccessful production Nd it's not encouraging at all

My dear brother please dont give up. Try check other parameters, av also done 4 unsuccessful hatching with expensive broodstock, yet am still expanding my hatchery facility. But like my friend says, u havent gotten d rhythm of ur farm dats all. And when u do, u wont ever think of quitting. Keep trying. Hatching isnt ur problem i guess its d nursing u havnt got the wind of. Take ur water for proper testing too. Its worth trying. After 4 hatching and all d stress pluss sleepless nights, in over 2mths i have less than 500 fries. But i believe dat if o can save dis little a little mor effort will grow a bigger batch.

As a Tarpaulin/Mobile Pond Expert, I advise that you get a 'sidebar' for your pond, it can be from the same wood you used,make it 1 feet from the ground, but make it run across.

Something like this below...

If not you won't be able to fill your pond up to the brim and Your material would get stressed quickly otherwise,(am sure you already know what am talking about *winks*)

I wish i could visit your location to evaluate what is on ground,but i never can conclude if it will happen soon. Test your water,you could relax,send your email,so i could send you a book.

Though your water oxygen dropped so much within a short time for such to happen.I could only encourage you never to quit,many dont share their failures,but we hear about their successes & you think they are superheroes.Let me give u incidence that millions vanish overnight just because an Unexplanable oil covered the hatchery water & many more cases from many great men & women that always choose to pick up themselves when they slip or fall.Africa richest man lost $12 billion,yet it is d success we speak of.You will succeed,hold on to your faith & dont allow discouragement set in.B Strong 4 yourself & that beautiful future.yr mail. the fund is much(too) if you have the know how & small if you have no experience or knowledge of hatching,meaning excess for someone that knows,could be wasted to a learner. My advice is start with raising fingerlings & go understudy someone for hatchery

It is only those that could not observe well or not around to see changes in environmental factors to their fishes that are always taken by surprise.So it is for every animal productn.Whether poultry,snailery etc.There are always naysayers everywhere,just have a focus & keep at your chosen goal.I dont know if on this thread or another i shared an event in a farm sometime back that they lost over 100,000 poultry birds overnight & yet till today they are among the very best.I had sent the book,get over 60 other ideas to run with,but seat to make a definite decision because the naysayers will always have something to point out to,why it should not or cannot b done.Now there are hatchery equipment 4 newbies in fishery

i am not your boss. Using well water isn't a problem,provided the PH is good.I had be using well in all my work,except the farm at jabata,Oyo state,war college at gwariinpa,abuja & the training in benin,Edo state. About your water not totally colourless? have you tried to filter(wise to have them,even if your water is looking clear), also is your water ok to even see your fries at all? if not,i would advice you get a means through filteration to at least attain it. I would have given you a straight yes,but i try to give what could be common solution that could easily be attain,not exceptional cases
