Lol.. but tbh it's actually nice to be single; it keeps me relaxed and unbothered. Besides, some of us won't settle for anyone who doesn't meet our standards simply because of desperation or loneliness abeg... but you're right tho, it does get lonely once in a while

I think its mostly due to a refusal to lessen their standards, personal development or unrealistic expectations.
There's nothing wrong with being wary of dating a guy who'll embarrass you in public (atrocious English, body/mouth odor etc). If you find yourself constantly attracting only those types of guys, you should check yourself.
Some ladies want to get a good job and attain some financial autonomy before settling down. Dating would distract them from their goals. But moderation should be the watchword, unless you've decided to be a career woman.
The last category are the daydreamers. Girls whose fathers drive kabukabu (and who themselves don't have even a wheelbarrow), but pride themselves on only dating rich guys with cars. There's nothing wrong with being a little picky (after all most guys desire to date heavily endowed, "yellow", well-packaged babes), but you should be realistic. You can't be unemployed (or doing one hand job or the other) and be waiting for one tall, fair, athletic, 'happening' guy to come and propose.
