Fish farming like other business has its prons and cons.. And truthfully its a very lucrative and yet a money draining business..

I have read articles about how lucrative the business is and how to invest and reap millions.. All I do is just to laugh on reading such article.. All they want is just for u to buy their manual and make money.. Surprisingly most of them don't have a farm of their own, they are computer farmers who don't have any experience whatsoever in the business..

I know of farms within my area who have shut down their farms due to frequent loss over the years.. I was also considering shutting down myself after I lost close to 2 million naira, yeah u heard me TWO MILLION NAIRA, but after diligent study which took about a year I decided to give it my last shot..

To be continued..pls how do I fertilize the pond before shocking

which grade of feed are we talking about? how old are your fries? one of the best alternative is from gutter in most case,yuck! how can i ask a lady to do that? it is called diaphnia(not too sure of spelling), baby milk, egg white, ground crayfish etc, but i encourage the feed(complete) & others could pollute water if not done moderately. Lets get your answer to the 2 questions i asked. If less than 2weeks,artemia.

Kingdom aquarium & mr fish & at a time someone on this thread was selling. You have to search through this thread for their numbers. Price depend on outlet,capacity,facilities it possesses. Naira aint smiling now,hence maybe 15k you get one(small),lesser before.

yes you can, If you already have water supply and drainage. I started mine with 90k, bought 3 (1000 litres) tanks at 20k each, plumbing 16k, 400 juveniles for 10k and half bag of 2mm feed 3750
