Ok. Id suggest you do the HSG before taking femara.
You would need to ascertain the status of the tubes before taking ovulation induction drugs. Then you track your ovulation using scans while on the femara and your SIL can help you administer HCG injection when you have mature follicles.

Do the HSG first and come back with the results.
P.S. femara is an expensive brand of letrozole, you might want to buy generic letrozole when the time comes.

I have done hysteroscopy (in march this yr) and I dont think its old fashioned.
Prior to the procedure, i always had white specks or reflective stuff in all my scans, all the lab techs and doctors I meet then diagnosed uterine adhesion. However, I registered in a new hospital, (gynescope) they ran fresh tests, got the same refective/white stuff. He decided to do a hysteroscopy to probe further and if it were to be adhesions, he would also try and free them.
As God would have it. The procedure was painless. I was given a room where I rested for a while afterwards was led to a theater, where they administered injection to me that made me sleep off instantly. The procedure was done within 20 mins. I woke up afterwards in my room. Slept for a while. Was given some tablets for the pain and to wade off infections. And that was it. I had to be driven home by dh, as I was still drowsy from the injection. You can also request for a CD video plate of the procedure, so another doctor can subsequently review it.
The doc said he found out that the reflective stuff looked that bones from a previous pregnancy. Perhaps from a poorly done evacuation or previous miscarriage.
It is not a bad procedure at all. I would recommend it for ttc mamas with similar case. As it shows and up close picture of the true state of the uterus. Just that its a bit pricey. I did mine for 95k.

HSG is not so bad as some people make it seem.
Just take pain killers like ibuprofen 30 mins before the procedure.
One mama also suggested that one can breath through the mouth during the procedure, that it reduces the pains. Just like the breathing exercise women in labour does.
No fear ooo. After all na you go born your pikin by yourself. Convince yourself that if mothers can handle labour pains, then Hsg is small.
As per your dh, gently appeal to him when he is relaxed and in a good mood, and tell him how his actions made you feel.
You should know that he is also hurting.

Prior to dollars wahala, I think 5,000iu cost 2,650(dont quite remember)
No clomid is clomiphene citrate. Femara is a brand of letrozole (like indomie, cherie, mimee, dangote....are all types of noodles)... if you go to the pharmacy and ask of femara they would give you femara which is more expensive..but if you ask of letrozole they would give you different brands then you can pick one that suits your pockets price wise...
Last I checked, femara was about 9k while another brand was like 2k. Hope you understand what I mean?

But please make sure you are under supervision when taking these drugs.

In addition, if you are very bouyant, there are places where they give you morphine injections before the procedure so you don't feel any pain.
And like mamak said, the pain is not half as painful as labor pains...but mamas still go through labor and still born plenty more pikins afterwards. You would be fine.
For your dh telling his friend, if his friend has gone through TTC too it is not really a bad idea. He might get some helpful tips from him. My DH was able to take his antibiotics without me begging him cos the recommendation came from a male colleague of ours who went through same ish.
But if that's not the case, please let him know how you feel.

please sis, dont b sad. Sharing our ttc challenges wd love ones is nt bad, it brings relief sometimes n healing to d mind. it helps us deal wd it too moreso whn we share wd peopoe who mean well. But u might need to hold back some details which is wht u shd let ur DH knw and in a very gentle n loving way. Just go for ur hsg n believe God for d best. Be strong.

Sorry abt ur miscarriage, u can start from pelvic ultrasound scan, follow by hormonal profile to check prolactin and progesterone level, b4 thinking of HSG, follicular tracking may also to check if u do ovulate.
