Wrong Sir
An Exclusion letter is issued by NYSC to a graduate on a part-time programme, Sandwich, Distant learning, NOUN..
Exemption certificate in most cases is issued to a graduate on a full time regular programme, above 30 years of age or with disabilities

As much as these two certificates are concerned, there is no discrimination whatsoever neither does it pose a threat to the labor market in securing a job but it does pose a real threat to promoting ones career

My worry still remains.. I haven't seen any NOUN student/graduate mobilized yet for NYSC
Have you seen..? Please share..!
Are you a Noun graduate?
Irrespective of your answer, i wont reply you again.

Enough already! Some questions and counter questions were just irritating that was why I stayed off, I'm not going to lie and tell you i have seen the exemption letter cause I've not seen but heard, the one I have seen is someone doing masters in unilag with a first degree from noun. That aside, the target of noun wasn't teenagers and those in early adulthood so it's understandable if NYSC didn't feel important but exemption letter seemed like a better alternative to them because the original targets will be above the maximum age for NYSC upon graduation or won't want that because of their work. This changed later when the younger generation started coming in and from all indications, they are working on it. At least they got listed in NYSC website last year and in time, those within the acceptable age might just be able to go for service.

I don't think you are actually interested in the school because you seemed elated when you thought you cornered those defending the school with your questions rather than a genuine interest to find out the truth, so please, either you google to get the number of the school and call for answers, go to a study centre for answers or you go and write jamb.

Okay good.. At least a honest one.. Lol

At the bolded, they are just filled with uncertainty, hope, assertions
In some way at least the truth is surfacing. So students going into NOUN would know what their up against and embrace it whole heartedly

I painted myself here as someone who needed answers about NOUN, her progress so far, and the faith of students who were still undergraduates and aspirants
I said here I am not a graduate of NOUN doesn't necessarily validates that I might not be a graduate of another Institute
Please take note of that and stop these one sided judgemental kind of thing because it doesn't tally with what you think and want to believe about NOUN

I have never condemned NOUN in any of my posts.. Thanks..!

You painted yourself that way so don't blame me for thinking that way.
Doesn't necessarily validate that you might not be a graduate of another institution and doesn't validate that you are one also.

I didn't want to quote you before because it's only logical to ask to be clarified on some issues but I realized it had become a thing of no one can answer it rather than being neutral and open minded about the ones you were getting.

About things not being necessarily so, that I haven't seen an exemption letter doesn't mean that it exist or doesn't exist.

About it being internationally accepted like some people have been asking, I personally have a close relationship with someone that went for her masters in UK with her degree from NOUN. The school even gave her a partial scholarship when she applied because she graduated with 2.1 and she's working in Nigeria in a federal institution now.

Undergrad Noun be like....
Yes! the problem of missing result is not peculiar to noun. but ignorant of how a good conventional higher institution go about resolving such when it arises

there are two group of student in NOUN. the noun undergraduate and the post graduate
mind you, you can't defend the obvious.

ask graduates of a good conventional higher institute of learning, they will quantify the differences for you.

kcboy34, In know it hurts to see some ignorants folks trying all means to paint Noun black, but please try and ignore them.

Silence is Golden

Noun is the Queen of missing result... we hear

Noun graduates only get exemption letter...we hear

Noun is for dullards who can't pass Jamb...we hear

Noun is this, Noun is that....thank you, we hear..

Go to your conventional university and lets see who will make it tomorrow.

Don't take panadol for our own headache.

Honestly, you are too patient. Right from his first post I knew he didn't come on the thread to be enlightened. He came to mock.

How else would you explain his blatant disregard for information given and continuous hammering on an irrelevant point.

You say you want NYSC certificate because you want to further and you were given information that a lot of NOUN graduates have masters degrees in other institutions and you still foolishly stuck to one point like a retard.

Nobody can force anybody else to enrol in NOUN so I don't know why you need to come on online to bring an institution down in order to feel better about your joblessness.

I am writing this not because i want to answer the ignoramus but to clear the doubt of prospective students who might be confused because of the trash the dunderhead has written here. NOUN graduates are given EXCLUSION LETTER which serves the same purpose as certificate of national service and exemption letter. Exemption letter is only given to those that are above 30 years and students with disabilities while exclusion letter is given to graduates of the schools that operate either ODL(Open Distance Learning) or part-time program. Any of the three certificates can be used in the labour market or to further studies in Nigeria or abroad. I would like to enjoin those quoting and replying this ignoramus to stop doing so as this thread is expected to be full of mature minds. Thanks

Please how much is the form?
How much is the total fees and what's the duration of the program?
Are course materials included in the fees if not what's the cost ?
What's the program like in PortHarcort ?

I do not know the closure date, it as not been officially released but I think it should be towards the end of next month. For course registration, 2units course=2k, 3units course= 2.5k and exam registration is 1k per course. Compulsory fee for fresh students is 36k in first semester and 13k in second semester.

What i wrote there is for students from 100l upward. Your compulsory fee as a fresh student in first semester is 36k but subsequent first semester is 23k and second semester is always 13k. You have to go to the school's site and download 'Registrable courses' to know the number of courses you will register.

You will have to choose the school you are. For example if you are studying accounting you are under the 'school of management'.
