We frown at it That's by the way.she made a mistake by not including anioma but the truth must be told the ika and some ukwuani are giving our good asaba and ogwashi bad name with their Igbo denials But easy on her. flokii:Enwe. Maybe you're the one that is the Osu. @Thread This is Nigeria not Utopia. However if anything even remotely close to your idea can be implemented,it can ride on the back of Obiano's developmental strides and policies. He will bring them together and they sign one MOU and then they can kick off with the rail. Well, this is fantasy. Right? (You stepped on my toes earlier today,I still dey look you somehow) 1 Like |

Adaure4ever: You are on your own? That is a ridiculous notion. Don't you guys get federal allocation? Every month for that matter? How many states in the country actually have federal government presence, north, south, east, west? I see that the persecution complex is very alive and active in all of you, male and female. Ioannes: I really don't get these people, they act as if they don't collect taxes and allocations or even have governors like the rest of Nigeria. There's lack of FG presence everywhere, but many states are building their own airports, bridges, ports and so on, but these empty and shallow chest beaters can't even tie their even tie their own shoes. All they do is blame blame and blackmail other people's people. 1 Like |

Brilliant ideas from the OP. I think that pooling money in a big purse on a regular basis would lead to corruption and mistrust. Perhaps we strengthen the Union of SE first. The union may be made up of the Govs, finance commissioners and senators who meet regularly. Some seed money of say 30M monthly from each state Govt monthly for 12 months. Then use this to get development expert consortiums to work out those dev plans discussed already. Each project can be done by getting govs , companies, rich individuals of SE origin to contribute money towards the project. The projects should be managed and developed by foreign experts. The profits can be shared by the states. |

Op, your ideas are very good. Nigeria as a whole needs thinkers like you and not just the south east. However, the main Issue with your idea is the source of funding. If the governors, the senators and the house of rep members were to contribute out of their monthly earnings, the financial guru employed at SEDC will mismanage the funds with the knowledge that nothing will happen to him/her. We nigerians will burn a thief who steals our personal goods in the market, but when it is oil money (government funds) that is stolen, we admire the thief and pray to God to put us in the position to chop our own share. Back to the topic. If funding can be gotten from the masses, no matter how little, nobody will mismanage the funds and escape punishment. There is strength in numbers and it would shock you that the igbo nation as a whole would contribute much more than government officials can. 1 Like |

Nigerian Government will frustrate this idea. We can do it if we youths come together as one and pressurized our politicians to succumb to this good idea. We need to be a little violent to our politicians to make them succumb. But have it in mind that Nigerian govt must definitely frustrate d good I thank u Adure, u are a great thinker and wish to marry a girl like u. |

AmuDimpka: What is terrible is you empty, shallow hateful chest beaters can't do without criticizing other people in their own thread so what's so special about your silly brain storm rubbish? You people can never show or post anything good from your villages or even what your worthless and incompetent governors are doing or have done with your taxes and allocations, but when we post projects commissioning and pictures on NL, what do you hateful and bitter people do, you show up with hate, jealousy and bad bele to bad mouth. You people are the most hateful people known to man and thus is why you don't and can never get ahead. 3 Likes |

Justdulla:Sam Onunāka Mbakwe, the first civilian governor of old Imo state was the one who built Imo airport which is presently known as SMICA(Sam Mbakwe international cargo airport). The airport was built from donations of Igbos from present day Imo, Abia and Ebonyi South senatorial zone as these areas were the old Imo state. We as Igbos were so proud of that airport to the extent that the first act of the buhari military administration in Jan '84 was to seize control of all airports in Nigeria(smica inclusive) My grannies contributed for that airport, so don't come give me that northern BS! And it was bkos buhari was so jealous of Sam mbakwe's achievements in old Imo state that he decided to leave him in prison... Only the coming of IBB freed the gentleman. Even the milAds you're screaming about were Igbos, so what the trash are you saying sef 2 Likes |
