This will blow your mind

IMPORTANT USE OF STONE DUST

After reading the attached file(PDF) i believe your perspective towards stone dust will Change!!! apart from science and technology it is observed that 90% of sharp sand is with salt content or mud, understandable that the best sharp sand is from Odo Ogun in Ogun State that is without salt but is with particles of mud, this mud when mixed with Cement in future loose its size like when decomposition took place leaving void(holes) in Bricks, Mortar and concrete where is mostly use. Report shows it that products from stone dust is 15% higher strength than that of the concrete made of normal sand and brick chip.

To the main point of discuss
Sharp sand price is on the high side now, despite its less strength to stone dust. Major reason is simple economy recession, High cost of Diesel and foreign exchange to parts attached to articulated truck used to transport this product.

Standard Organisation of Nigeria mandate all bricks producing factories in Abuja to produce bricks with stone dust. To the big blow a tonnage of stone dust is N2,200, while in the south west is sold at the peck price of N700 per tone another funny thing is that bricks in Abuja and Lagos sold at same rate.

Why Chekitaut is HERE
Stone dust is cheap now
Island all through to Ajah and Mainland for 30tons is N95,000 and N87,000 respectively

Because we want to promote the use of Stone dust as Bricks, Mortar and Concrete

its better to go for the Anstel 305m per box... better quality and you are sure the measurement is right
dstv has up to 6 local stations.... you can run extra antena cable directly to the tv though..

Good. Thank you sir. I will surely get the Anstel. Thanks for all the pricings.

There is more than enough evidence to put brabus in a compromising position should he decide to take legal action against most people here on nairaland. The evidence is against him and he knows it.

If he was truly innocent he would have taken legal action long ago.

But anyways I know you're just trolling...how your chicken leg pillars?

With the current rate of sharp sand being about 60k for what is essentially a 12.5 tonne truck.

Is there any research that allows the use of mias as an alternative. Most block makers in ogun and closely linked lagos neighbourhoods use this sand for block making in place of sharp sand. Mias looks to me to be crushed gravel.

No one will teach us to do the alternatives. In times like this I'll favour brick construction over traditional cement and concrete construction

I'll show pics of ongoing brick house construction in Badore, Lagos. I call it "The Change"

Where does Ajah officially start and ends ?
I find it confusing or perhaps misleading, would Lakowe be classed as Ajah ?

My thoughts used to be that Ajah ends at Abraham Adesanya.

What's your thoughts on using stone dust to fill a compound before laying interlocks, I know it's sharp sand that is usually used. I have sand filed with literate as high as it can get.

my question is that, does stone dust offer any advantage as I know it's more costly compared to sharp. My interlocker suggested it but he thinks brabus has either finished paying me or Dasuki shared some money with me. grin grin

How much is enough?

But we use British standards in Nigeria.

Besides, covers to element are always stated in structural drawings/general notes.
E.g
Floor slab/stair case: 20mm
Beams and lintels : 25mm
Columns: 40mm
Base: 50mm
Shear walls: 40mm etc

Just saying

From that price he obviously has the small coiled, low quality variant in mind. The cheapest you can get for any kind of TV cable with a copper conductor core is in the range of 4k upwards....and that's from 70-80 yds up

I believe it won't be a long wait.

I was googling precasted lintels yesterday after another Nairalander showed pictures of his lintels that were under par. Please share images of that too. How will they be lifted to first level window and doors? I believe they are extremely heavy.

Also, can you share the dimensions and price of the bricks? Do you know if dye can be used to change the color?

Will a masonry wall chaser be used to insert the plumbing and electricals?

This is 1 type of wall chaser.

We're supposed to wait just to learn that a cutting tool will be used as opposed to chisel and hammer?
Because i can only imagine how laborious that would be in the absence of something like a chaser as suggested by msogunro
