Nice try but the Mirror is saying £210k and the SUN £220k so i really doubt their correctness. The Mirror isn't a reliable source either. The SUN, mirror, Daily Star, Metro etc are all sh1tty sources in the same league. SKY and MEN used to be good unlike now they just report any rumor; i think the Telegraph is still decent and i rate the BBC as the best.

By reputable source, you should know what i mean bro.

GBR1 Did you say Rashford isn't likely to succeed?

Nice joke...He's one of the fastest in the League, look at his Body...Tall, And a good header...His skills are impressive and he has composure.

He is a future starter mark my words and doom your pessimism
I won't say anything further. If we were to place a bet on him succeeding as a top striker for us, what do you think are the odds for and against?

I'll know where to put my money. I'm being realistic here, he's more likely to fail than succeed here.

These points I listed from your earlier post are the ones I find ridiculous that's why I'm addressing them, plus your preference for bringing a lot of unrelated stuff into a straight answer to a simple question is another reason! Now......

1: As regards your point A, I think you are the only human being on earth that has that opinion!

2: Point B is pure trash! Because you are not nastradamus! That is pure speculation!

3: Here is what bayerns bosses had to say about your mans time after he got sacked! It will take care of point C since it holds no water:

"Football should be enjoyable, but there has been nothing enjoyable about football at FC Bayern for a while now. And to say that he had the players behind him was a myth. Problems were created which were totally
unnecessary and which have ripped the club to
pieces. Louis Van Gaal should consider what he has done."........Uli Hoeness!

www.eurosport.co.uk/football/bundesliga/2015-2016/bayern-s-statement-as-they-fired-van-gaal-a-warning-from-history_sto5036852/story.shtml

"As soon as he presented his autobiography in a snobby restaurant, I knew hard times were
ahead. Louis van Gaal was not always easy-care. He wanted to 'VANGAALISE' our club. He has a huge ego.".....Karl heinz Rummenigge!

www.express.co.uk/sport/football/534108/Louis-van-Gaal-Manchester-United-Bayern-Munich-Karl-Heinz-Rummenigge

4: As for point D, kindly just give me 7 games out of the more than 40 plus other games that man united were involved in where this supposedly FLUID jogo bonito was being played! I hope you were not watching barcelonas games and thought you were watching man u bruv?

1. If I'm the only one with that opinion, then good for me.

2. How is it a poor speculation when Spurs lost their ground as soon as Dembele and Alli were out? Or when City became buoyed with the availability of Debruyne and Agureo? That's to tell you what the loss of 1-2 quality players can do to a team yet Van gaal's team without having quality players as good as those aforementioned players went on to compete toe to toe with City for the top 4 and did a lot better than Chelsea.

3. How did that statement implied that Bayern were playing boring matches? The only thing that could be got from that statement was that the players turned against him after a poor season when the defence was leaking goals and he did nothing about it culminating into their loss of the title. The matches in the link showed that Bayern were quite good going forward and the team scored plenty.

4. Do I even have to list it? Our late top 4 run had us plying some good game plus the game that emerged Rashford. The games I could remember were Westham fA cup, Arsenal, Leicester, Midgetlland, our 1-0 win over ManCity, Everton fa cup, Bournemouth etc .

You obviously do not understand the situation at hand. LVG reduced the number of matches we play in preseason drastically, the same way he sold too many players unnecessary. You don't travel all the way to China to end up playing a single match; no club works like that. Then we shouldn't have gone in the first place or we should've simply gone to the US as we used to.

Last season was a disaster, and that's why LVG got sacked; Denying it doesn't change anything.
You keep mentioning our squad is average? Whose fault is that? Who forced LVG to work with an average squad? Do you listen to yourself at all? Who asked him not to sign quality players? He had 4 transfer windows and was provided with funds to spend as he likes; he had total control on transfers but he was simply useless at doing his job.
That's simply failure and there's no excuse for it.

So you're already judging Mourinho and his signings with a single preseason game where most of the players were unfit, lacking match sharpness and we were without our starters like Martial, Smallling etc and we faced strong Dortmund side who had already played 3 more games than us and were far ahead in their match preparations?
If i call you a lunatic now, you'll get offended as usual but what you've said is simply stupid.
I didn't ask you for any of this nonsense. I only stated that LVG never came close to matching the success he had at Ajax because he wasn't exactly the major factor responsible for it in the first place. Stop saying things you know nothing about. If we go deeper into these issues like his time at Bayern, you'll get exposed again as usual.

Who forced LVG to rely on an ageing and injured prone Carrick? What are you on about again?I asked you how many players LVG eventually used and you could only name one (lingard). So much for his youth promoting that Lingard only got a chance because LVG failed to sign a good right winger and we reallyenjoyed Lingard performances, didn't we?. In case you haven't realized this, Lingard isn't gonna remain a starter for United. He's never gonna be good enough. At best he'll end up a squad player or he'll get sold to a lesser team. It's no suprise that we failed to make ordinary top 4 when you've the likes of lingard starting as your best right winger. So tell me what did LVG achieve with those young players that featured in preseason?
Mediocrity!

He had already planned to stick to his kids? This is another lie. Again, that's none of my business as long as he's successful; People don't care if he does it with kids or stars but he failed. He simply failed.

This could be true but where are the quality youth players? At United's academy?
Tell me the quality youth player we have had in the last 15 years from our academy? undecided

I hope you don't carry these stupid fantasies and assumptions into your actual life.

What other option do we have? Do you think we would have success by simply choosing to promote and play youths as we like?

I don't understand how you manage to write so much nonsense and bullsh1t in extremely long posts. I'm done with replying you for today.

A lie? This is coach that brought it in the likes of Blackett, James reece, Mcnair, Lingard etc from the beginning and was looking to blood them in until they showed they weren't good enough. And the main reason he decided to bring in kids like TFM and Poole from the outside.

Also, no one says Linagrd should be a starter but he's a good squad player better than the likes of Mata and others. I would even say he's our own version of Pedro because of his heart in big games such as the City and the FA cup final. He also had a good performance against Barca in the pre-season. And another correction, Lingard didn't get his chance because he was out injured. Simple as Abc.

I've addressed other point of yours and no matter what you says, no one can deny that Van gaal brought us Martial, Rashford and TFm to some extent.

So why else would bayerns players, the board and their fans turn against such a superb coach? Since they were attacking with full force all around europe and scoring 8,9, 10 goals per match?

By the way did most of our old ex players, fans and the board not eventually turn aginst him too? And also at barca?

Arsenal that gave us 3-0? And I hope you know our return win was extremely lucky because they even out possessed us, and had more goal scoring opportunities AT OUR HOME?

Everton granted but see the kind matches wey you dey give me! Leicester wey woze us? Midgeltland? Haba kagwawa wetin be this na? Not even against superior rivals or teams?

Leicestrr didn't wooze us or anything. We were the better team and should have had a penalty. It had to take Morgan blocking everything out especially after Drinkewyter got sent off and their goal came through a set-piece. Apart from their Ariel threat, we outplayed them.

Arsenal didn't gift us any win. The likes of Rashford, Carrick who was playing as our Beckenbauer in defence were fantastic in that game.

That said, Bayern board did turn against him because they were expecting a title which Van gaal failed. But the truth of the matter is Van gaal brought Bayern into limelight once again after a long barren period. Prior to Van gaal, Bayern no longer had that reagrd in Europe. He was the one that brought in Robben, Ribery, turned Schwein's game into a midfield master, brought forth Mueller, Alaba, Kroos etc into the team and made them a power house once again.

I think Van gaal talent is more suitable to a small club that gives enough patience because at the time Bayern had no big expectation after a long failure, Van gaal was able to do well without the pressure not until Bayern started becoming the powerhouse they were once again.

Stop telling lies. LVG had no plans to play these youths until injuries forced his hand and he had no choice. At the beginning of the season when most of our players were fit, LVG didn't give chances to those players. In fact LVG almost broke a 78 year old record of having a youth player in every match day squad but it was injuries that saved us.

Our version of Pedro? What madness is this again? You think Lingard is even remotely as good as Pedro or is a version of him? Pedro was a deserving starter in a world cup winning team(Spain) and was a starter in Barcelona's deadly attack of 2011 that was the Champions league?
Can Lingard even make the bench of any of those teams that Pedro featured in?
And you're comparing him with fecking Lingard that can't even start for United and couldn't even make this current sh1tty England's squad?
Are you mad or something? angry
If we wanna aim higher and have a good squad that can compete with the likes of Madrid or Bayern, then Lingard might not even good enough to be a squad player. It's the truth.

Martial isn't from our youth academy; we signed him for a teenage record fee so don't even mention him. Rashford and TFM have achieved nothing yet and the jury is still out on them. They might turn out successful players good enough for United or they might not. The latter is most likely and it would only highlight LVG failure.

When would you stop telling lies BTW?

Martial was already playing alongside Rooney before Rooney got injured. It was only Rashford that was brought forth when Rooney got injured and I tell without Van gaal trust in youth, that would have never happened!

Look at Mourinho who had to loan Adebayor at Madrid when he was short of strikers! How about his Chelsea stint when all his experienced players were underperforming yet he failed to promote any youth player. Hiddink had Traore and Chalobah in his team as soon as he became Coach.

Players like Blackett, Reece and Lingard were in our squad right from the start and were given chances aprt from Lingard who was out injured. That already destroy your point.

Also, put Lingard alongside worldclass players and he will look as good as Pedro. As a matter of fact, Lingard did a lot better last season than Pedro who looked like a kid without the likes of Messi and Iniesta cuddling him.

Yes, Martial wasn't from our academy but he was a teenager with little experience yet Van gaal procured him and had plenty of trust in him. Mourinho would hardly do that! That shows the difference between them.
The reality is Van gaal did a lot better with a poor squad like ours than what Mourinho managed with his Chelsea squad which was far better.

I talked about odds as facts. Current performances don't guarantee anything; you should understand this by now. Rashford's development may not go the way you expect and it's very possible the current version of him doesn't improve much further in things like hold up play, ball control etc. It's all speculative.

To put things into perspective; People expect Rashford to lead the line in about 2 years time but that isn't even realistic. They don't know this. People thought a 20 year old Martial was good enough to be CF but soon they realized their folly and said he is too young but these same people expect that a 20 year old Rashford(in 2 years time) to be good enough. Is Rashford more talented than Martial currently or do you think he would be as good as him in 2 years? Is Rashford a better player than Martial already? Do you think Martial would be good enough as a CF for United in 2 years time either as a 22 year old?

Answer these questions first so i'll see if you're reasoning with emotions or not. I don't understand why most people find it so difficult to be realistic

At no time did Martial consistently played as a striker in a top flight league. He doesn't hve that instinct. Rashford is as good as Owen when he emerged as a striker. Both has similarities which is their instinct, pace and composure.

I'm not disputing Pogba could be the highest paid player at the club. It's quite possible when his basic salary is coupled with his image rights.

It's the wages of £400k gross or £220k net i was disputing in the first place and you haven't given any reason to end my disbelieve. I still maintain that £220k is more likely to be gross than net. £400 per week is a lot of money and i really doubt he's getting that. English media don't have a clue; it's the same way they usually convert € to £ directly when reporting transfer fees and it's another confusion here for gross and net.

I disagree..
nobody said martial is never a striker. his best lies in playing as a LWF.

rashford and martial as I believe have very thin difference when it comes to potentials.

watch the small time rashford moves from either wings and u will see that martial is not outrightly better than him

Martial's best position is on the wing - LWF precisely!

Rashford played well also as LWF, especially in their last Match at the Euro 2016.

Striking-wise, I will pick Rashford over Martial any day anytime!

Rashford has the tendency of becoming a world Class Striker than Martial! He has shown the glimpses toward the end of last season.

Martial is definitely going to be a Hit - but he should concentrate his development on the Wing (LWF)!

That are my inputs to the on-going debate!

I am not here to debate the reputation of newspapers as regards rumours, hombrè....

Two additional excerpts suggesting that Pogba would be the highest paid player at the club..

Dude all these people are just copying and pasting each other.

It's still these same papers that are saying we signed Schweinsteiger for 14 million when Bayern have already confirmed that it was 6.5

Answer those questions properly first.
Martial will never play as CF in manutd with rashford in the team.
His game doesn't portray a striker. he wasn't a striker in Monaco, he is not played as a CF for france and his limited cameos as a CF for united did not yield positives...

This is your opinion. I remembered when Martial first arrived, he was played as CF and was very impressive; have you forgotten? Go figure out.

We had to play him as a winger because LVG wanted to shoehorn Rooney and Depay stank up the whole place, and it was then we realized how he good he was at the wings.
In reality, we were finding it difficult to create chances and Martial didn't see much of the ball in the CF position so it was a good decision to start playing him on the wings where he saw more of the ball and his dribbling cause a lot of problems for the opposition. He didn't stop playing as CF because he was terrible there(he was arguably as good there) but it was because we needed him more on the wings.

I remember everything very clearly so this you saying that his cameos as a CF didn't yield positives is revisionism and i'm not surprised you had to resort to that. It's so easy to tell the truth when you do away with emotions.

Nope!
He played on the left in his first game vs Liverpool and was very impressive.

From my head easily, he played as CF against Southhampton scoring 2 goals in the league.

Martial didn't start that Liverpool game and he when he was substituted in Young was playing as winger so i doubt he was told to play on the left. He only started the move that lead to his goal from the left and it's silly to say he was played on the left due to that. If you think he was played on the left vs Liverpool and had a good game, then why didn't LVG play him on the left again vs Southhampton which was the next match? He was played as a CF vs Southhampton and he scored 2 goals there again so it's more likely LVG placed him as a CF vs Liverpool.

Telling the truth isn't really your forte.

Dadehmola:
Pogba? Highest paid player? shocked

Well, it only means we shouldn't concentrate on Rooney's performances viz á viz his wages again - new focus don dey!!

Pogba for Ballon d'or 2017 cool

That was my very 1st post on the issue & I have backed it up with excerpts from 4 different newspapers - the cluelessness of the English media is a debate for another day & you are free to criticize whichever newspaper you deem fit.

The bottom line is that Pogba (from all indications), could be our highest paid player & since you have agreed, there's no point going back & forth on this issue.
