People love to be ignorant about Just anything. . people are so in a hurry to make social media contents. About the cooking issue, The pastor was reinforcing age old tradition about culinary skills. How many of you would tell your mother to her face you're gonna marry a woman, but she can't cook? none of these keyboard warriors will do that.


The issue of prayer. . of course it's a spiritual thing and can't be timed. the pastor didn't say you MUST pray one hour daily. As the situation demands you can go 1hour or even exceed that.But if you can't confidently AT LEAST pray one hour straight, then you've got to fire up. Some situations demand 5 hours prayer . . but what if as a man you're going through challenges.Illness, loss of job and your wife does not pray rigorously because she CAN'T? Many people are crying because of 1hour communication with God, but will spend hours on social media, can spend hours having sex and doing vain things. One thing I know is prayer CHANGES things, and I'll rather marry a woman that prays.

[The most important thing is marry out of love and all other things will fall into place.

I don't need a girl that can pray for 1hr. I need a girl that knows the bible and knows how to connect to God by speaking the word

My assumptions...

I assume about half of all women of marrying age cannot cook. So let's throw them to the bush.

I assume half of the world's population is lazy. Male and female. The male is too lazy to work and the female too lazy to clean and cook. Maybe even too lazy to push out a baby. Throw them into the bush.

I equally assume that more than half the population of women cannot pray for one hour. OYO. Bush abi?

One of my favorite sayings is that wisdom is the principal thing. Why not just decide to be wise? Why constantly assume that because a pastor said it, it must be true and gospel? Why not seek your own truth based on your own particular circumstances?

I don't have a problem with the pastor's words, but why are people judging and saying what they can and cannot do?

Be careful what you say, it can bite you in the asz and then you'll be shouting devil.

If the woman cooks like a chef, cleans like a pro, and prays like a pastor but has no job and doesn't give good sez people will still complain.

Or if he has a great job and enough money to care for you but is a bozo you will not remember that the pastor said he is perfect.

difficult to pray for one full hour.
Secondly, my wife is nt my cook. We will be

The problem of most nigerians is their understanding of English.
The man of God never said women should always cook, he simple said she should know how to cook. There is a huge difference in the 2, so you saying that a man cooking is sexy is of no relevant and not related.
He never said the woman should be the only one cooking, but atleast she should have the knowledge of cooking as a basic prerequisite.

I see nothing wrong with his requirements, i don't see why any Christian will marry a partner ( male or female) that cannot pray for at least 1 hour, haba, or even cook.
Yet we wonder why marriages continue to crash.

It's a shame that a renowned pastor would be saying this. Is it cooking or hours one pray that holds a marriage? What if the prayers are prayed regular but are done in the wrong way.

Without Love, if you like cook for the whole Africa or pray from now till tomorrow what will not be will not be. A man who loves a lady doesn't care if she can cook or not, he will teach her if he knows or make her learn.

Pastors should invest their time in teaching their members how to love.

If I can't cook, then why am I a woman? Our girls are too lazy to cooking courtesy of junks and the men doesn't help issues by always taking them out to eat. Every woman should know how to pray as it unites the family in the presence of God. Daddy G.O is absolutely right,many girls of today knows the lyrics to all secular music but worship songs they lip synch, prayer requires reading the bible, worship songs and sermonising. 10% of 24 hrs isn't too much for the lord.
