trillville: In all honesty, Buhari has not reacted to this currency crisis in a proper manner. He should have massively fired fg workers and even raised taxes to save the naira at all cost. He has put nigeria on a recovery path of at least 20 years. Oil prices may not even recover by 2019. We may never even witness 100 dollars per barrel prices again. If buhari does not adapt and face reality, it is very possible that we may see prices reach 8000 naira to a dollar. Yes I know, three zeroes. It has actually happened before. Between the early 80s and mid 90s, the naira went from parity with the dollar to over 80 bucks. That's a times 80 change, or an 8000 percent decrease in the value of the naira. We are in deep shit. |
