Hmmm...you wanna come as a Visitor then change to being a student. I don't think that works for a visitor anymore because as a Visitor in Canada, you would have to go back to Nigeria to apply for Study permit. If you have US visa, you could go there to apply for the study permit though. If that is your intention ma! mzjennypher: |

mzjennypher: Well try to clarify your purpose of visit and make sure it's consistent in all your supporting documents. Keep things simple. |

bayocanny:Hi, you got admitted to Upei right? Are you sure the tuition fee is 6,622 per year cos I remember going through their website last year and the fee I saw wasn't as low as this. Anyways, I just went through it again and I got this. I think the tuition fee is $6822 + $5860 per year international students. See the picture below(full time international fee- 6822, this amount is paid in addition to full time student tuition which is $5860). This is just my view, I might be wrong. 1 Like

PurpleG:Chai!, I think this is where my insufficient funds come into play na wa for this school sha $6,622 was quoted in my admission letter for international student tuition fees which is per year, while $5,690 is for canadian students and they were given an opportunity to pay per semester at $2,930. I am in need of naira. I can't send money to Nigeria due to CBN placing a hold on money transfer to Nigeria. Any one trying to apply for admission into Conestoga college can contact me. While I pay for the application fee in CAD the person will help me pay the naira eqivalent into my Nigeria account. |

Re: Travelling To Canada Part 10 by Nobody: 4:30pm On Aug 07, 2016 |
bayocanny: PurpleG is actually correct! Sorry to hear about this man. The international student fee (appx $7k/year) is different from tuition fees (this could be as cheap as $5k) depending on how many courses you register for. Other little expenses like, health and dental insurance, gym, etc makes everything around $13 to $14k/session. I'm pretty sure you know the next step: just try and get sufficient funds to show at least $14k plus $10k (living expenses for a year), then you should be alright. Keep in mind, the more the better. Good luck and see you here soon! |

If you don't get anyone here, you could use Money Tangle or First Transfer. They still do transfer to Nigeria. Omonjoe: |

Only God knows why Canada is delaying peoples application...last year CIC was fast in treating applications but this year it takes ages. I think CIC needs a new structuring honestly....people are frustrated and having waited for so long they will still refused applicant. May God help us. 1 Like |

I am a graduate of Mechanical Engineering (2.2). Currently in university Of Ibadan (M.sc) but I Intend moving to canada for my M.sc but was told schools in Canada don't consider 2.2. So the options available for me are: 1) B.sc (transferring of credits). 2) pgd/diploma. 3) Pre-masters, if I Can't get admitted directly into masters. I just want to know my chances or the options available to me of getting admitted. Am confused now, don't know which is beta..I seriously Need ur advice(s) . Thank you. |
