Yeah you are right but the problem am having is that i stay far away from Lagos and Abuja. I stay in Calabar, and paying to take the test will kinda make me spend much, going twice. Am working with UKEAS and the lady promised that she will assist me when the time comes, instead of paying all the way to Lagos or Abuja to do the test then go back during the visa interview.

I'm afraid he will have to wait after a year but as boss justwise said, you can apply and explain the situation truthfully and hope for the best. You can as well travel down to see him if he doesn't want to live in the UK.

He overstayed 90 days plus, however, if he apply has my dependent (tier 4), does it have to be a whole year before he gets to come back. I was thinking since he will be legally married to someone who has a 5 year stay in the UK, he can still be able to travel to the UK. Yeah if u r close to Lagos and Abuja, u can go ahead and do the test. As for me, it wl be quite difficult. The roads are bad, flight ticket now no be small amount. So its better I just come at once and do it instead of coming over twice. As for the IHS, I heard its $301.5.

Bank statements showing maintenance funds for you and kids. available for the past 28 days
TB certificate for you and your kids
Documents stated on CAS
And I think birth certificate of your kids

You need written permission from the father of the kids permitting you to travel with them

It's not a must you apply with your husband at the same time. He can always apply whenever he feels like

What letter? If he wants to apply after you've been issued a visa, there's a separate online application form for dependants

Your husband must apply before or at the same time with the children unless you have evidence to prove sole responsibility for the children or of serious and compelling family or other circumstances.

I've just double checked and yes, you must both apply the same time you make your application. Apologies for the mix up.

Tbh, I doubt if a consent letter will work as there are no requirements stating this

Hello guys, i'm new here but i have read from beginning till this page. I just received a conditional offer from leeds beckett university saying i need to provide the following:
- official work reference from a particular place i worked stating role,responsibilities and length of service.

My question is: is there any particular format my company needs to write this form of letter?

Please help urgently.. i need to respond as soon as possible.

I realt dont see y yu cant apply without yur husband unless some1 can provide the part where it is expressly stated in the rules. My neighbor did her masters in the UK with her daughter we were in the same uni. And her husband didnt apply and
Just write a consent letter from your hubby stating that he gives his consent for u to take your daughter with you to the UK for yur studies and attach your husbands passport data page.

Do you know when your neighbour applied? You kuku know how often the Home office change their rules.

@Ladymach11 The basic rules for this is:

The Tier 4 rules state that you can only bring your child / children with you to the UK if both parents are going to be in the UK. This means that if your partner is going to stay outside the UK, your child /children cannot join you.

The exception to this is if you are:

the only parent or
you have 'sole responsibility' for your child / children or
there are serious compelling reasons which mean you and your partner cannot come to live together in the UK

I will also advise you check with your University if you're still not sure.
