Privatize BRT.

Prices will go up...but salaries will be paid.

Oil above $100 per barrel.....will never happen again. So, Nigerians, work for thy kudi.
I think the red BRT are the privately owned ones and the blue are the government owned

Oil prices for the Jona admin.....$110 on average.

Oil prices for the Bubu admin $50 on average.

That means that we are earning $60-70 less than what we were earning under GEJ...so naturally there would be insufficient money for everything in Nigeria.

GEJ was not a better leader than PMB.....just used the oil money to hide the problems in our economy. He did not diversify or save.

Of course...that does not mean APC is doing well either....they are waiting for oil to rise again (Myth!) instead of taking the road to industries...because such a road passes through austeirty(which most Nigerians do not like).

If BRT was privatized, it would be earning enough cash to pay its workers. But the problem is....Nigerians don't like that.

shame on you and your likes.

when you were jumping like toads at ojota in 2012, did it occur to you that oil prices might fall any day that it was the best time for subsidy removal.

when you were hailing Amaechi who took GEJ's administration to court for daring to save some money rather share it among the states, what were you thinking.

Well, I am unique , especially DNA speaking....

when you were jumping like toads at ojota in 2012, did it occur to you that oil prices might fall any day that it was the best time for subsidy removal

Well, I was in Lagos in 2012...but certainly nowhere near Ojota.

And I have said that I backed the removal of the fuel subsidy elsewhere...back in 2012 and today. So, sorry.

when you were hailing Amaechi who took GEJ's administration to court for daring to save some money rather share it among the states, what were you thinking.

Because the FG under GEJ too was not saving money as well...hence the court case.

Some prophet.

Sorry, but there is nothing different GEJ coming back would do.

All any Nigerian leader can do is cut government spending, raise taxes, end subsidies, spend more on power and education (except for universities, which need to be privatized) and encourage PPP in industries.

GEJ benefited from oil prices being high. And even then, people still suffered when he was around.

PMB needs to stop waiting for oil to rise again. It is never going to happen.

Hard times, hard choices.

Some of these drivers are the cause of their peril, if they were working for private firms (most od them left TaTa and Lag bus for BRT) they won't try what they try at times. The get to a busstop and decide to move on without carrying more passengers even when their bus isn't full and the passengers have tickets. Go to Ikorodu by 5am the Red buses would be as many as possible on ground to take guys to the Island the BRT buses would be strolling in by 5:45-6am. Nigeria is a funny place we all want govt jobs but don't want to work or pay tax and we expect to get our pay as at when due.

They'll pay them in time but they have to step up their work ethics too.

jonathan paid a huge subsidy for pms,gej paid a huge part of our electricity bill.

Because we had the money to pay for them at the time.

Right now...we are earning $60-70 less per barrel of oil than we did under GEJ. It's a miracle anything works....

bubu here is not paying any,one would have taught that these monies being removed will bw used and saved properly....but no way,all the money is no where to point.

Because the money needed to ''make everything better '' runs into the trillions...and because recovering stolen loot can only solve your problems for a little while. The money will run out.

And the ONLY way to get there is by taking the austerity laden road to industrial self sufficiency like China did, and like Korea did.

At which point.....if you do not understand that Nigeria's problems stem from our reliance on selling things whose price we do not control...re oil....you will never ever understand what I am saying.

Nigeria must be free from oil. That is all I ask from this APC government. Nigeria must industrialize. It is our only hope.

Ambode changed the previous management of BRT (Blue) buses. They were inefficient, lazy and dirty. I was in support of the change and I thought the new management will be better. Unpaid salaries? i dont understand with the millions or hundreds of thousand you make in a day and u cant pay your staff salaries? This is absurd. undecided angry

LAG BUS (RED) BRT buses are always efficient and on time. In Ketu Lagos, by 6am you will see as many as 15buses inside the park. They are very effective. They dont stop and pick passangers on the road.

I thought the new blus brt management will be effective only for me to get to the bus stop and discovered that they are on strike. no bus , many people were stranded this morning which led to the increase in yellow bus fare this morning. angry angry angry angry angry
