Ah! Make una chill for this Pogba saga na, the ninja is certainly not worth the price paid for him(yet) but we should at least see him play before jumping on the "he's shiit" bandwagon. The boy isn't responsible for the ridiculous money on his head, the current market(and Juventus) is, average players like sterling went for as high as £49m in the market so for a player who was courted by the best teams in the world, this price tag was expected. Wetin una de forget is that this boy has acquired so much experience at the age of just 23, he has won titles and have played at the highest level of football for club and country, he is still growing as a player and I sincerely hope that he does that here at United.

Don't expect him to give you 30 goals per season because he's not that type of a player.(I know that this is exactly the reason why most people including me were against the deal in the first place) Don't expect him to bully midfielders in every single matches because I can see that some folks here are prepared to deliver their canopy analysis once he underperforms in a match or even when he gets a yellow card in a match. We should all remember that he's still on the young side just like martial, and he has a lot of improvements to undergo before becoming that ballon d'or winner that he craves to be. Mourinho sees this player as the one he needs to compliment the team (alongside the other signings) in his quest for glory so as a fan, I have to believe in the man for now, whether or not he delivers is another story all together.

Personally we need this Pogba pass barca and Madrid because our midfield is shitty, he brings height, power, technique and agility and we need a player wey go dey wire shots from outside and give us a threat at set pieces, we currently lack that in our team.

what exactly is a "canopy analysis"?

Apparently moaninghoe likes fellaini, someone should hook me up with his jazz master

Error 404 stupid hair, stupid brain, stupid pass, stupid pace, stupid wife, stupid car, stupid fashion, stupid goal

Everything is stupid

His off the ball movement is one of the best though. His understanding of the game is decent too but sadly, he's often useless on the ball. I wish I can merge Fellaini into that overrated Barkley lad who's quite skillful but still often useless!

Player of the tournament? He was average apart from his goal against the Swiss team while Messi did the major work for the goal, he was as poor as Aguero. He was shite at the recent Copa America too and was shite for Psg vs City in both legs. Was that also Van gaal's fault?

Let's not forget that prior to his 6 months wonder, he's been always inconsistent and the fact that he was mostly sat on the bench in the first half of his last season at Madrid, which was his best season BTW while Bale was out injured at the period.
He was a starter at first but was later relegated to the bench due to his poor performance but then, Khedira got injured and as a result of that, a path opened for Di maria to be back as a makeshift box-box CM in the team.

The thing with Di Maria apart from inconsistency is he needed the vision and control of Modric/Alonso to craete space for him and we don't have that in our midfield. It wasn't a surprise that he looked rubbish vs City without the likes of Verratti in the midfield.

Another is only a patient coach can work with Di Maria. If you consistently watched him at Madrid, he could be rubbish for the whole game yet eventually provide an assist, A coach like Ancellotti couldn't have that and the reason he was benched until he was converted into a box-box CM. I'm sure I can't have such patience as well.
canopy analysis.....

What off the ball? Last time I checked hes too slow to drw defenders away, all he does is use his strength to bully people and score headers. Last match, he cost us a clean sheet...God I despise that average player, he migt excel as a DM only problem is hes useless for a tactic with fast tempo.

Don't get me wrong, he's not a pacey player but his movement without the ball is good. That was what made him a menace as a SS for Everton. He quite knows the space to move to, whenever he's not on the ball.

In as much as I don't care about Whoscored rating, Di Maria rating came from his performances in the easy group stage matches. Di maria has always been a brainless inconsistent player from time memorial. Ask any Madrid fan.

FIFA rated Di Maria as one of the best. You just like stories. There is nothing easy in the opposition Argentina played. Di Maria even out performed Messi in some of their matches.

Van Gaal messed up. He doesnt know how to use players.

Nigeria's defence?
The fact is we were poor and don't let me start with Yobo. Argentina had it easy in the group stage but looked inept against the Swiss team until Messi magic carved out Di Maria chance. Di Maria was stinking the whole place before his goal in that particular game.

The consistent thing about Di Maria is his inconsistency and his stupid brain regardless of his stats.

So which team were not poor? To you we are poor because we are Nigeria. Let me remind you we finished in the knockout stage. Lost to Argentina by just a goal margin. Argentina later had to play in the final.

which knockout stage ? the same Di maria that was terrible lost possesion over 50 times against Switzerland and was injured in the quaterfinal against Belgium. Mascherano was the best Argentina hands down

Di Maria was easily the best until he got injured. Messi was also superb, same with Mascherano. But Di Maria was their most deadly player. I saw Argentina games. I don't know what you mean he lost possession. Di Maria is not even one to keep possession. Even when he won the MOTM in the UCL final, he still lost possession. But he brings massive threats and tear the defence apart.

And for the records, Di Maria was no better than Messi nor Masharano who was Argentina's best player. Was it against us (Nigeria), Swiss, Bosnia et al DiMaria was better than Messi?

Like I told your earlier, Di maria could be stinking the place for majority of the game only to provide a goal or an assist at the end of the game, just like the Swiss match. Only a patient coach can deal with that shite!

The group was a poor one that had Bosnia that hasn't qualify for a worldcup before and Iran.

Not to mention we had Yobo in defence!

Without Blind passing in the defence, we won't come out of the defence either. No doubt Smalling complement Blind with his pace, strength and height but apart from this, his positioning, reading of the game are all suspect and that's the area I rate Jones' play, I.e, his reading of play although his positioning is poor as well. Both are pathetic on the ball though with Smalling being the worse out of the two.

Blind on the other hand has good positional discipline and his reading of the game is superb. Not to talk of his passing skills and vision. That's a lot he brings to the team already. And apart from his poor midfield performance vs Dottmund, he's been one of our best player in defence in the pre-season.

And no, it wasn't just one performance for the u21, it was more than that and Jones was poor in every one of it.

Without Blind, we won comfortably some games played by Jones and Smalling. In fact Jones and Smalling partnership didn’t lost a game in 2014/2015. In 2015/2016 they were again doing very fine together until injury hit.

Even McNair and Rojo combo was okay in the first half of 2014/2015.

Forget about Blind's bringing the ball out. He cost us in the defence with his slow speed and lack of aerial ability.

The group had the African Champion. Any team that qualified for the world cup is good. Look at Wales at Euro.

Di Maria performance was even in the knockout.

1. Di Maria was not poor against City. You just hate him. Di Maria was the most productive attacking midfielder in Ligue 1 last season with 18 Assists. He made the highest Assist in Ligue1(18 opta Assists. Opta Assists are more difficult because rebounds and deflections are not counted)

2. If Anceloti benched Di Maria, how come he ended up being the fourth most used player in Madrid? I think only Pepe, Benzema and CR7 had more minutes.

3. I saw Argentina matches. Messi was better in group matches. Di Maria was better in knockout matches. Mascherano was consistent in dishing out quality defensive in the holding role.

4. If you still dispute Di Maria is inconsistent, how come again he was the highest Assist provider in Laliga that season? He gave 17 Opta Assists. This was one who mostly played in right side of central midfield in diamond formation. And relied on counter attacks carrying the ball forward from the deep. This is a player you said he was mostly benched by Anceloti, yet he made the highest Assists in the league.

Conclusion, Di Maria had the highest Assists in Laliga before he left. He had the highest Assists in Ligue1 just as he arrived. Yet you said he is not consistent. How else do you judge productivity? This is a player who plays far from goal and normally carry the ball over tens of yards. Kagawa10, I wonder how you watch your ball.

From the statement juve made I think we got a bargain for Pogba sef.

The full transfer fee is 89 million plus 4.5 million in add-ons based on performances. AND WE ARE NOT PAYING POGBA'S AGENT ANY MONEY. JUVE WILL PAY HIM HIS 15 MILLION FROM THAT MONEY.

So we basically bought him for 74 million. I'm sure they just added the agent fee to make it a world record.
