U are not the only one brother , my speed for the past 3weeks does not go beyond 300kb/s on Ntel except only at midnight, I even bought Their mighty Zte router but still the same slow annoying speed..I don complain to their customer care tire and yet no solution.. I can confirm to u that wit 2-4 bars at ketu, mile 12 and ojota the speed is not even up to a 3G speed.. Ntel dey really fall my hand right now..they don't look ready to me. Attached to this message is the screenshot of my present SLOW SPEED on a so called 4G network at mile 12, lagos with 2bars.

I thought I was the only one getting slow speed recently. I don't think it's traffic issue. I believe it's network problem. I hope they resolve it soon. |

I think it is high time this useless ntel stop deceiving us, they are not ready for much customer, ntel is SCAM, when dey just started, the speed is high, but when more customer are comming in, they are confused, worse part of this, the stupid girls on the customers services, they knew nothing abt the stuff. All what am seeing is this, they have opened way for the best network in Africa, MTN, let us wait and see how MTN will grab their..customers. NTEL IS SCAM |

There's network on 21 Road in festac but no network for my place at yaba. The network that used to have between 1-3 bars, has had no service now for more than a week now. When the service come it hardly stays 2mins. |

I don't want to believe that I'm the only one experiencing this slow download speed of 200kb/s and below, where as i use to get 6mb/s upwards? It seems ntel is deliberately throttling speed these days whether you download or not. |
Re: Subscriber Options for UNLIMITED Internet - WORTH IT? by ican2020: 12:23pm On Aug 16, 2016 |
Thank God that I did not waste 36k to buy their router. I have been using Ntel for sometime now, there service was okay initially but my last subscription last week Friday was a total waste of money. It took me almost five solid hours to install office 365 online, but judging by their past performance, I could have completed this in less than 45 minutes. I pray they fix their connection issues fast or many naija will port |

Intel core i5 4th/5th gen @ 2.4-2.6 GHz 4GB RAM AMD R7 series GPU OR Intel core i5 4th/5th gen @ 2.4-2.6 GHz 4GB RAM Intel HD Graphics 4000/5000 series Which is better for gaming? And how much could each one cost? Anticipating u guys reply! |
Re: Subscriber Options for UNLIMITED Internet - WORTH IT? by dustmalik(m): 2:24pm On Aug 16, 2016 |
ican2020:From my observations, it isn't a network issue. ntel is just throttling the speed for no reason at all. The speed throttling implementation starts early in the morning, and then normal speed is restored late in the midnight, and this happens whether you download or not. It's extremely frustrating. This is a network that is new on the block, yet has started misbehaving, frustrating its early users. |
Re: Subscriber Options for UNLIMITED Internet - WORTH IT? by Stanley08(m): 3:18pm On Aug 16, 2016 |
rawdpiper: The first one has dedicated GPU. However, if you are serious about gaming. No 4GB RAM out of the box lappy will do that for you. Unless u want to play Zuma and Tetris. I have a 6th Gen CPU and GTX 960M and i can't still max out many new titles. I can play most comfortably on medium to high yes. But can't max out the graphics. If you want to game, invest more. If you are a proper gamer, buy a PS4. Lol back to ur question again, the first one because it has a dedicated GPU. Cheers! |
Re: Subscriber Options for UNLIMITED Internet - WORTH IT? by Stanley08(m): 3:22pm On Aug 16, 2016 |
dustmalik: When did you buy ur sim? If it's over 90 days, ur data test drive period is over. They have always said that they will throttle ur speed after the first 90 days. Maybe u didn't do ur research well. Just buy a new SIM. Better still, wait for the network to get relatively better, then buy a new SIM. Cheers |
Re: Subscriber Options for UNLIMITED Internet - WORTH IT? by dustmalik(m): 4:03pm On Aug 16, 2016 |
Stanley08:You obviously didn't comprehend my comment before quoting me. I said the speed gets throttled even without downloading. Originally, they said, after the first 90 days, speed would be throttled if one consumes up to 3gb in peak period. Cumulatively, i haven't used up to 500mbs since last Thursday because of the slow speed. I have since stopped downloading because of the frustrating slow speed. By the way, i acquired this sim in June, so it hasn't been up to 90 days yet. And i still insist that it's not network issue. ntel is deliberately throttling everyone. |
Re: Subscriber Options for UNLIMITED Internet - WORTH IT? by duwdu: 4:07pm On Aug 16, 2016 |
dustmalik: Whoa...this sort of throttling, even as the network is just mildly populated as yet? This is recipe for customer flight, especially if it continues! Hmm. Anyways, one just hopes the company knows what it is doing. P34c3 ..... ... |
