pls I need ur candid advice/opinion. Is it necessary to include my employment details with my study permit application esp considering the fact that Im out of job since April after 5 year of work experience. I just got my Letter of Acceptance for PGC in Ontario. I am trying to compile d necessary documents
cc: MichV, yemdogg and everybody pls...

I think it's necessary. Especially to make your application airtight.

Judging from your post, I'd go ahead and assume that you started working after school. You have to explain to the VO what you have been doing till now. What's your present activity. Providing your employment details goes further to prove your home tie and to avoid delay arising from employment situation. So it's very germane.

You have to provide or fill something in the present activity segment of your study permit application and such claim(s) must be backed up or supported by documents.

Case Specific Enquiry. However, it is a medium in which you direct questions peculiar to your application via their CIC website. You can only use it when logged on to their site

Am also waiting for medicals submitted towards endin of June... But its not how related ur course is but ao convincing u can b to d VO. A good SOP and job reference wud do some justice to dat.
bro how related it is should be atleast 70% pass mark in that field of study more especially for PGC/PGD and then SOP would serve as cosmetic without going off points.Atimes but not always, these VOs see the prospects of your Program to ur career and home country.A colleague i know only just filled the study permit questionnaire without any SOP.some people on this thread have gotten TRV without SOP.i know of 3 monikers on this thread with all their convictions sef they got refused! To me 100% related + a well grammatical error free, constructed, paragraphed Statement of Purpose, relating ur writings with the terminologies, valid points and technical words in your field, will make you keep ur mind at rest till you know ur outcome from CIC. though we are always laying emphasis on THIS PROGRAM ISSUE cos it is always an occuring refusal reason

Is there any one on this thread that seeks this almighty TRV solely for study reasons...I feel most people want it as a tool needed for eventual emmigration from Nigeria.
I read through this thread and i see how our young minds (both sound and debatably literate ones) are actively hustling to get out of this country..it's amusing how we blow through 3 or more pages every day to the point that it is now sad. And it's pure survival instincts driving most people.

My fellow PGD/PGC applicant you cannot lose hope, dispatch any conspiracy theory of how your chances are limited and focus on how to consume the information on this thread before applying. Faith without the right actions is meaningless, educate yourself on knowledge shared here, and let your prayer start from the wisdom to do the right thing, there is a reason some define wisdom as the right application of knowledge.

Shout out to @yemdogg for always being there for others, Part 10 of this thread is not complete without you and @michV

Shout out to Oga Siga, even in your silence you have inspired others in the past who are doing the same now to others.

What else can i say? Tdot kan, Seneca kan? grin

This is a very strong words of encouragement from a grateful fellow. God specifically bless those who have been of help to others on this forum and all of us in general.
To the PGD/PGC trv hopefuls, we'll all celebrate soonest.

if you have been active daily back-to-back you would notice 2/3 applicants on this thread last month declared their already Msc qualifications whether got from Nigeria or from any Int'l community and went for another Msc program still in same field of study and were issued TRV.one said he didn't even write any SOP for going for another MSC in canada.Thats God's favour because another VO on his/her discretion would have raised a flag on ''purpose of visit''. if you can get a PHD admission in canada with Msc better but if you don't want, you can go with your Bsc alone for another masters in canada if your CGPA can fetch you so and try not to leave any academic gap considering you have to block ur already period of msc program with other activity if you weren't doing it PART-TIME,To me it's better to state your occupation as Geotechnician than project manager. This project manager/project management program have been creating inconsistency /insufficient ties at CIC since 1800BC cheesy.in my understanding, any one can be or serve as a project manager irrespective of ur field of study.Your Bsc as pet.geology, Occupation as Geotechnician and any PG program in canada in such field is a parallel match.in essesnce we are trying to give to Caeser what belongs to him in reference to canada style and leaving the rest to GOD.

in addition when we talk of occupation related,NYSC as an activity/occupation is of exclusion. For those serving even if your NYSC activity/PPA na Road safety sef, in the occupation/employment section of your IMM1294,just write ''National Youth Service Corp(NYSC)/Road safety''. what matters is if your intending program relates well not that you feel, with your previous studies.

Do you know why we're hustling to leave this country so desperately?

Actually am a bit amused myself that you don't know.

It's quite simple.

Uncertainty.

As young minds, even if we have great ideas to start up a business, there's no friendly environment to nurture such business ideas.

All of us cannot be civil servants in this country; even the various govts have failed repeatedly to renumerate civil servants for work done.

Most private establishments have been driven to a point where they can no longer function effectively not to talk of recruiting new employees. Nigerian universities roll out thousands of graduates yearly, less than 29% get employed in the first year of graduation and even those who got lucky find themselves doing what they are not trained to do. You'd see a physicist working in the bank. Mehn it's very unfortunate.

The economy is crashing daily. And apparently we have a govt that is actively fighting corruption while other sectors are failing fantastically. Sometimes I am tempted to even think that we'd be better off with corruption..cos apparently and arguably, life was so much better with corruption being the order of the day.

I am not surprised; cos a govt that came in using propaganda, would be tempted to rule using cheap propagandas. We were not careful and specific with the kind of change we prayed for. Look where it has gotten us to. Smh

Apparently, It is economically prudent to make forex available to people going for vacations and luxurious trips buh it's a serious economic wastage to make forex available to investors, students, marketers. People who will actually add or contribute more to our economy.

A bag of rice is same with minimum wage.

Chaii and you don't want me to run comot.

Anyway I am actually confident that this country will be great eventually buh I seriously doubt if the set of politicians we have in Nigeria today will actually pilot us to our great destination. We play politics of interest rather than politics of ideology.

Our politicians are shameless. They change party like they change their underwear.

Am curious; is it that these parties don't have ideologies/principle?

Abeg make I enter maple land first we will reshape naija from abroad. ITS CALLED POLITICS IN DIASPORA grin
