Is there something bad in having an orientation of prosperity? Is it wrong to think greatness? Is it wrong to dream big? Friend, if you cannot join us, leave us alone, when we achieve our goals, we'll definitely call you during celebration time. God is on our side
You still dont get it. I am not saying that we should not work towards human and technological development rather am saying that we should be original in our approach and avoid towing the line of the indoeuropean because the very system you are trying to emulate was designed to keep us under. So we need to create an alternative political, economic and social order that is unique and fuctional in attaining said development. We have done it severally in the past and we can do it again but this time around it's necessary that we integrate the economies of all black nations. In fact the basis of the indoeuropean system was copied from us. You take the indoeuropean model as supreme and aspire to be like them but you fail to realize that this race of people are very different from you. The irony of it all is that their political and economic model is not even sustainable. What do you think is the cause of this current global recession? That extravagant and obscene culture of consumerism is self destructing. Though westernisation has corrupted our minds, We black africans are simple by nature. We are down to earth and close to nature; therefore our trajectory for technological development needs to be ecologically freindly with a lot more emphasis on qualitative rather than quantitatve growth.

You start something so Africans can see, make a path for others to follow. There is nothing bad in setting the pace.

They TEACH THEORY OVER AND OVER AGAIN WITH LITTLE OR ON PRACTICAL as a science and engineering student, after it all, they now impose entrepreneurship on the helpless graduate whose visions have been cut short.
Yeye entrepreneurship

The question is why do we love deceiving ourselves. in nigeriaMost engineering curriculum focuses too much on theories with less emphasis on practicals. In secondary sch, physics, chemistry, agric etc are taught without much consideration for practicals. when I was in secondary sch , we didn't do any practicals until it a week to waec . The teacher started giving us hints on how to pass the practical exams. When I was in the polytechnic as an engineering students ,no practicals. when in university the same, and we end up being called engineer. why do we so much focused on research (theories)when no means to develop the outcomes of those researches. To cover up these lapses they are now preaching self employment, after making the graduates unemployable.
I don't think the problem solely lies with the government alone, those who designed our curriculum ,professors ,teachers are also to be blamed.

Nig needs a holistic approach at solving her problems. This thread is just an eye-opener to those who want to understand the way forward so that we will not keep moving in the same cycle. I pray our policy makers can read this as well

What a pity to note that our schools, education and research institutes have been handicapped. They have turned to places where people just earn salaries without adding any value. The system is so bad such that there are only few inventions, while the ones developed can't be commercialised. Our politicians are only concerned about how to share allocation instead of developing the intellectual resources of the young ones.

Policy making on innovative entrepreneurship in Nig is zero. That is why unemployment keeps rising

Too much noise about entrepreneurship, too little achieved by the noise makers.
