They were a shadow of themselves and lacked purpose. They missed two of their best players. The DM, Azubuike, picked a needless third yellow card in the tournament late in the quarter final match when we were 2-0 up. And that meant he missed the semi final. He was very impressive with good shield to the defence coupled with a great ability to pass swiftly between lines while making himself available for return passes. Also a great dribbler with pace and energy to cover ground. My hope was that we win so that he returns for the final. His replacement, the number 15 jersey, was just average.

We missed Etebo who scored four goals in the first match but got injured in the last group match. His pace and agility is superb.

Where on earth did we get that Sadiq (number 13 jersey man) from? He carried his laziness from the quarter final into the semi final.

I think we didn’t have a good bench. Then we didn’t know how to fight from behind because we always score first in the games we won. The Germans also didnt allow us use the wings which was part of our strength, that is where we needed a good player who could pass or drive between the lines. May be it is where we missed Azubuike most.

No wonder. At a point I was wondering if that fool Sadiq was the person leading our attack from the beginning. The DM was very clueless. He looked the opposite of what DMs are known for. He couldnt pass, couldn't snap into tackles, no footy brain. Our full-backs were not left out from the public show of football shame especially that Shehu. How that boy ended up on a football pitch remains a mystery.

Top coach rarely deploy 442 nowadays except they have a player like Keane or Kante in midfield to prevent the midfield from being overrun and pacey forwards to help out.

Considering only 442 or 352 could accommodate the 2 waste bags of Rooney and Rvp, Van gaal chose the lesser evil.

352 tactic with the right players is the best tactic ever for me. We all saw the Italian team with such tactic doing so much like advancing to the Euro final in 2012 or performing well in the recent euro despite having little quality in the team. How about the average Holland team that won the 3rd place final. Even Pep often operates similar tactic because the tactic ensures more numbers in the defence and in the midfield thereby tapering over the little quality in those department.

The fact that we had 2 sluggish shitheads in Rvp and Rooney as the main front 2 was the major problem. The tactic looked great vs Madrid in the pre-season with the pacy Chicharito and Zaha leading the line for example.

Hence, blame your bae, Rooney for stinking the whole place.

Does Van Gaal has any obligation to use him? He had to impress him to get into the lineup first and foremost and for a 3-52 setup, there's little place for a player like Nani in the lineups. He basically told Nani that Rooney and Rvp are his first choice as the front 2 and there's little likelihood that he would be replacement in that front role, all he had to do is to change the coach's mind with his performance.

This is a player that was constantly overlooked for Valencia under Fergie. So why should Van gaal trust him? Does he have the reputation of Rvp/Rooney? Capital No.

If you really want to look for a situation of a player being forced out, look close to home (Schweisteiger under Mourinho)

Not thrown out. Rooney and Rvp were simply chosen over them. Chicharito was already contemplating to leave under Moyes before Van gaal took over.

Chicharito and Kagawa has always wanted more playing time than what was offered under Moyes and once Van Gaal couldn't afford them that, they left.

Even at that time, the fans were questioning Chicharito move to Madrid when he said he wanted to see more playing time but I think Madrid offer was too good to turn down for him.
