This is what Buhari hopes to do quickly and without scrutiny with his emergency powers

Although the president has the power to order the sale or lease of any government asset to raise cash, “the procedure is cumbersome and long”. The draft bill is meant to ease the process. The government source said about nine government assets may be leased or sold to generate around $50billion to shore up the nation’s foreign reserves and the value of the naira against the United States dollar.

The source said: “Nigeria may be broke at the moment but we are not a poor country, given our assets and capability.”

They are now gearing up to sell FG assets to themselves with their useless emergency bill

Tinubu has also highlighted his interest in managing the Federal Inland Revenue Service, FIRS.

In a paper delivered on behalf of Buhari by Fayemi in Lagos while addressing the Business community:

He added that there would be a tightening of the tax noose, though there would be no tax increase.
“The Federal Internal Revenue Service (FIRS) will be strengthened and the LASG IGR template will be adopted at the national level,” he stated.

So expect Alpha Beta to go National and Tinubu to be paid a commission on all Federal taxed revenue.

When your father's buisness is no longer doing well, he sold his plot of land and one of his cars to raise funds to re invest in his buisness.
Nigeria's buisness is not doing well at the moment and you expect Nigeria to hold on to all its assets?

Even if you were not born with a good brain, you can still borrow one on hire purchase.

Tinubu lost out in Jonathan's auction of GENCOs and DISCOs.

Expect performance and minimum criteria to be reviewed upward in order to ensure that Tinubu's linked Anglo-Saxon Energy Companies get a big juicy slice of the Energy sector.

Jonathan's NEPA sale was a failure it doesn't matter who bought what, the same Jonathan who didn't allow him to own Discos rewarded Oando with oil blocks within the same period, smart huh!!

This thread was created in April, 2015.

It predicted that the APC govt will soon begin to auction govt properties to themselves.

And rightly so here we are.

I won't engage your foolish rants on who knows better on governance but rather I will tell you that I was correct again in predicting the ever corrupt and greedy APC govt.

Now that is what this thread is all about.

Buhari has borrowed in just one year 2 trillion naira with nothing to show on ground for.

Under the same useless Buhari led govt, the naira has lot well over 300% of it's value. The stock market has shed well over 70% value and our foreign reserves are steadily declining from the $30Bn mark that was handed to him on May 29, 2015.

And to top it up your useless Buhari is shamelessly going cap in hand in an international almajiri mission to beg to borrow more money not caring to tell you and I what he intends to do with the money.

Another aspect worth noting among the list of Buhari's latest demand for more powers, is in the sale of govt owned assets which he wants to be solely responsible for.

The APC is claiming that conditions and requirements of the sales of govt assets as captured in our current extant laws are filled with bureaucratic bottle necks and time consuming.

The APC is claiming that by handing discretionary powers solely to Buhari, the FG will raise a whopping $50bn dollars in asset sales not bothering to tell us what they intend to sell to themselves.

I made this thread early in the Buhari govt warning of how the likes of Tinubu will end up buying Federal Govt assets in Lagos as compensation for his role in putting Buhari in power
https://www.nairaland.com/2261435/tinubu-lists-fg-owned-assests

We can now see that the Economic Team headed by that midget Osinbanjo is just geared towards enriching individuals like Tinubu.

If you think I am jumping the gun, then remember that Tinubu already has his man as FIRS Chairman and the alpha-beta extortion racket has already began on the federal level.

I also want to state that the NDA are nothing but a creation of that same thief Tinubu working in close contact with Nigerian Security forces in the Niger Delta region and one Itsekir tout.

Their goal is to create a fog screen from where they begin stealing crude claiming production is down.

At the end Tinubu is looking for Ayari to get the juicy security contracts hitherto controlled by Tompolo.

If I call Buhari a dunce now, some yoruba tout will come here and buy the case like say Buahri nah im papa

There will be mounted pressure on the Buhari administration to sell off FG owned assests in Lagos to meet up on the low federal purse.

This off course is all geared towards ensuring that these assests end up under the ever increasing empire of Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Obviously other heavy weights from other regions and state who contributed to the Buhari candidacy will be concentrating on other juicy appointments and portfolios but knowing the ever shrewd B.A.T. , it should be expected that he will lobby for these FG assests to be sold to him. Which is brilliant by the way and serves to further consolidate Tinubu's tittle as the "Landlord of Lagos".

Part of the historical assests Tinubu will be lobbying for are:

The Federal Secretariat, Ikoyi.

National Stadium, Surulere.

National Theatre, Iganmu ( via concession. This national edifice sits on a large swath of swampy land that Tinubu wants to develop. Securing a concession on this grounds will also see BAT develop prime real estate mainly as a rival to downtown Lagos Island business district).

Tafawa Belawa Square, Obalende and the surrounding old racecourse and cricket grounds.

In Buhari's comatose state dem don begin sell all FG properties to themselves.

This is chanji!

The ACN had one outlook only and which was to serve the interests of Tinubu.

I have to hand it to Tinubu, he really knows how to pick his puppets.

Knowing that Tinubu prefers to lurk in the shadows, I expect him to sit back and ask for what other greedy lazy northern politicians do not want other than juicy appointments.

Tinubu will ask to pay handsomely for these assests and bribe every legislator in the land, retired service men, traditional rulers in the north to prevail on Buhari to see this as the right move. This will serve to remove Tinubu from the helms of govt which the north may not be comfortable with but at the end of the day Tinubu will legitimately to an extent acquire more wealth and property.

If Tinubu isn't thinking in this direction , then call me a liar!

The Chinnese have a concession agreement to expand Lagos and Abuja airport and the work is currently ongoing.

Expect to see Buhari cancel it, pay indemnity on the excuse of wanting local content only to re-award the expansion to a local company under Tinubu which will be financed by western banks.

The APC is a western neo colonist government that is steering this country back to the west.

Tinubu has replaced Lagos State IRS as the defacto tax man through his company Alpha Beta.

Tinubu owns the old Lagos Governor house located in Marina adjacent to the old State House Marina.

Tinubu's Bourdillon residence was designated state property and governor's residence annex when he was still a governor but has now been converted to his personal estate.

Tinubu now collects tolls on state roads and bridge in Lagos that was financed by the State government.

It's a welcome development if the FG under Buhari can sell off its abandoned assets in Lagos to Tinubu, afterall, GEJ sold Power Holdings to cronies and proxies at almost free of charge and still uses state funds to finance them.
Make a visit to these facilities and see the rot there-evident even in the photo of the Fed. Secretariat you posted. So far Tinubu will pay a fair price, it's ok and if you're not satisfied, jump into the Lagoon now.
