Either for the Nigerian Defence Academy or the Nigerian Air Force cadets, one of this groups is to receive 12 units of Honker 6x6 vehicles for carrying cadets.

rawswag: We are considering the Rooivalk. The army a couple months back was invited to view a presentation. The issue is, the Rooivalk isn't in production, although Denel is considering the MK2 version, however with slow South-African bureaucracy nobody knows exactly when that would begin. The Rooivalk program also requires a significant order of atleast 50 -70 Helicopters to restart production and make it cheap. It is unlikely the Nigerian Air Force would buy the AH, leaving only the Army who would be interested in 6 units top. Unfortunately, i don't see any good prospects for the AH at this point. 1 Like |

giles14: Hahaha that wouldn't be a good idea, beeg suggested something really interesting on his twitter today, he said the police should arrange a short term lease of assets like MRAP's and APC's that hardly see action to the army. What do you think ? |

Odunayaw: Proforce, I'm rooting for this company to succeed, and i'm optimistic that they would. With the J.V they have with DICON, it's only a matter of time before we start seeing widespread use of their vehicles. "The Navy alone this year purchased 120 patrol boats from 2 local companies, with our penchant for foreign, who would believe this day would come?"...... I did not. They are supposed to launch an improved vehicle this september, so we'll have to wait and see how things progress.
