Well it depends on where you live

Where I'm staying currently, to make stew that will last me 3 days will cost 100,
Though I'm only talking about the cost of tomatoes and pepper.

I can't dream of that in the south.
Cool

500 naira can cook soup it's only that it won't be rich and it won't last for more than three days or maximum of a week
If you 're good at prudent spending you can buy tomato-200 naira
Atarodo-50 naira
Onions -10naira
Grinding -70

Did u say onions 10naira?

There is no 10 naira onion in the market again sef.

Everything is now expensive. The prices keeps going up everyday.

its a pity tho.

The change is here!!!

Yes, economy is harsh but majority of the stuffs you have there can be done with N500.

With the exemption of Soup & fuel/generator, every other thing can be done with N500.

Everyone is not as wasteful as t-billz abeg. Meanwhile, N500 cannot make an OK Soup, unless you want to substitute fish with crayfish. A kilo of Fish (Titus) now cost N800; same with Chicken (N800); Turkey (N900) and Gizzard (N1000).

So where would money for other ingredients come from? sad sad

buy shawa, panla instead of kote or meat or ponmo wink wink

op were in d world do you live, the most expensive hair cut is like 3oo naira with gen, if nepa bring light it won't even pass 150, And I prepare a very good stew with meat for like 500 naira, by d way I usaully buy seasonings, rice, indomie, beans & all other small household things in large bulks when the year begins costs atleast 69k altogether but it's a good thing since it lasts atleast 1.5 years b4 I do it again. I just hope it won't be above 100k next year due to inflation.

No need for chickens, I own a bird's farm. Things are such cheap in d rural areas it's just baffles me how people just want to live in large cities were even a bag of pure water is almost 200 naira as opposed to the 60-70 naira we enjoy here. Chai north dey sweat woh

Why do you people just like exaggerating things? Guys still get haircuts for N300. And when I had typhoid last month, I treated it with N350 (one pack of Cenox, and the small pack of Tinizol). Also, N500 can cook Ela Alasepo with half kilo of fish/chicken...that is definitely under 500 naira. I know things are hard in the country, but painting things worse than they actually are won't help us in the long run. Stop spreading negative vibes.

N500 no reach transport from igando to obalende again for lagos. As in 'go' alone o no be 'go and come' o

That's a lie. I stay in that area. Igando to Egbeda is N100, Egbeda to Oshodi is N150 or N200 depending on the time. And Oshodi to Obalande is N150. Stop spreading falsehood.
