Is it just me or does ntel 4g suck at streaming? With a speed of approximately 20mbps it still buffers when streaming YouTube videos at 360p. In fact I only stream without buffer at 360p when I get above 30mbps. On MTN on the other hand with just 10mbps I can stream at 480p without buffer. With 17mbps on MTN I can stream at 720p. Looks like ntel network is only good at surfing and downloading which is very fast, for streaming u need to get around 40mbps before j can enjoy it. I don't know if any one else experience this.

for the routers, those are much harder to find. spent a large part of saturday trawling pc village for a dlink/tplink 4glte router.

Lol. Ntel network is worse now. Worse than before anyways. Still get 3MB/s download speed tho. Used to get 5 to 9MB. Well, I've not tried at locations with great reception.

For some weeks now, the network has been pretty poor here at onike yaba, have been on less than one bar for sometime now. Highest i've been able to achieve is 500Kbps and that's at night; but I can still stream sha though it buffers a little but all in all it still gets the job done.

Lol. I stay close to onike. Downstairs, No service. Upstairs, with enough gymnastics i can get up to 4bars. My download speed gets up to 4MB/s at night i believe.

Am I the only one experiencing this?

Have they started throttling, because signal is even better than it used to be this weekend, but speed is terrible.

I experienced this about 2 months ago for about 2 weeks + suffice to say this sub will be my last for a long while. Rather go to swift and get reasonable service.

I don't see the point of Internet slower than 2G

Even on a good day with 2 bars when I get up to 35mbps, I still find it difficult to stream at 360p without buffering. I think ntel are throttling streaming media. With just 12mbps on MTN I can stream at 480p without buffering.

It has been really poor over here at Alagbado also.. infact I have their mast opposite my house and I get full bar.. yet, my ultimate speed is 130kb/sec.... This is terrible!

I agree with you. Even Mobdro wont work without a vpn and even then it still buffers. Twitch.tv also buffers while with etisalat that's not as fast streams without issues.
