So.. like I said his cage system is quite unique like I said as I have not seen it anywhere. Its built on a stilt like structure and there is a sloping aluminum v-shaped gutter meant to catch the feaes and urine. Its almost self cleaning as the urine flows away from underneath the cages while for any pellets of feases left is washed or rather flushed from the top or beginning of the slope with just a bowl of water. It flows to the end and for him channelled to a gutter as waste. (I don't intend wasting mine o...with all the knowledge about rabbit urine and faeces as very good fertiliser...composting is the way to go here..dry season no far again and sack farming beckons )

Yes boss. They are slso used for rain gutters on houses. They are usually flat and of different thickness before bent to shape.

Price viz a viz thickness and type of use should guide your decision to get any particular one.

I want to.believe meat I meat! Like i said earlier if.people can eat snakes, grasscutter and some.other animals then.i see no reason why one cant market rabbit meat. It is eaten everywhere I know. Start with your locality... friends, family, neighbourhood meat shop etc ...the possibilities are endless. In fact like i stated earlier as well I am not bothered about the market for rabbit meat. I am more concerned about having enough rabbits before I start selling because I am afraid I might not meet demand. I would start small meaning concentrate on my immediate surrounding before i expand coverage.

what is all this about everyone complaining about market, market, market??

u may be right that there is no immediate market for rabbit meat. But u can create ur market.

It may cost u losses for a start, but eventually, u will smile. But u shud try to start marketing by offering value added services like
Free dressing of the meat for ur customers,
free delivery of produce,
free sample (whole rabbits) to some potential big buyers,
free lessons on the best ways to prepare delicious dishes with rabbit meat, u can even do a video about that and distribute it to ur buyers and non-buyers alike.
adverts on radio and tv if possible will also help.

I know I will farm rabbits in future. I can't presently see the market in my location, but I don't intend to lose out when I start.

Hello family..


Well we are doing well so far and I had to construct another cage since I had little space left for the newbies in the farm.

Expecting another set of litter in the next 30 days at random. Growing my herd a litter at a time
