Finally, we can agree on something. Ndiigbo are a different people from Arewa-Odua people, and have no point of unity with them, to justify sharing same country with them.

na today you know? Yoruba have nothing to do with your or the arewa people which is why we mind ourselves whenever we are outside our territory. na only Yeeboe go carry 2 left legs all the way from the erosion ravaged enclave to come claim 90% ownership of Lagos, then go up north to claim 70% ownership of abuja.

How difficult can it be to mind your lane and space with some humility? angry

FG is owing Ogun for repairs of federal rods that passed through the state. The state undertook the repairs because as a responsible govt, it cares about the lives of it's citizens (and the refugees from your erosion ravaged enclave) even if the former PDP govt of your ijaw master didn't care. thousands of lives are lost every year on the enugu-portharcourt 'death trap' expressway yet your govs are still borrowing upandan to do what?!! Even your leaders see you guys as worthless entities on whom state funds shouldn't be wasted! cheesy

Lagos needs a 4th mainland bridge and they're already on it without waiting for the FG. The whole SE needs a 2nd Niger bridge and they're about taking Nigeria to the ICC to complain that the FG has refused to construct it. Can't willie obiano use part of the proceeds of ugu export to do this bridge? cheesy

Lol! Keep deceiving yourself. Infrastructurally speaking, your mud house infested enclaves of Ogun, Osun, Ondo, Ekiti and Oyo are light years behind SE, despite your loot of the post indigenization windfall.

Enugu was still picked as the first Nigerian city to make the resilience city challenge.

We can do so much more, once we jettison the excess baggage that Arewa-Odua represents.

We minded our space when we left your cursed mud house infested enclaves of Arewa-Oduanistan to migrate to the East, only for you and your Arewa masters to com's knocking on our doors shouting " one Nigeria".

You can't have your cake and eat.

Even after Nigeria, some Igbos will still be in Arewa oduanistan, just as Odua people are all over UK, even though Nigeria resisted occupation by Britain, and some Jews are still in Germany today, despite Hitler holocaust.

The idea is control your space, develop it, dominate it with army and police and banks. Dont leave your place in shambles while trying to or claiming to dominate other places! That is kind of parasitic as someone said. Of the three main groups, the Igbo land is most backward.

Yorubaland we all know is a backward primitive enclave, so it's funny hearing you lots speak rubbish.
It's parasitism on Arewa-Oduanistans like you forcing Union with Ndiigbo, infact, it's demonic.

No, in simple English, even though this thread was dedicated to showing Yoruba contribution to Nigeria, after 5 pages, you are yet to show the world any of those phantom contributions.

Which leads us to the conclusion that Yorubaland of a truth has nothing to contribute.

Lol! Funny you are even collaborating my take on your barbaric ways with that Akure incidence. Where your coward useless Oba invited an Igbo community leader for dialogue, only to unleash Yoruboid touts and almajiris on him.

Funny enough, my barber here in Enugu is a Yoruba guy, Ade by name, he is a nice man and speaks fluent Igbo language, he told me he and his family grew up in Onitsha.
There are many Yorubas in Igboland, but the Igbo society is a capitalism driven one and not a socialism type, people here are more interested in what you have to offer than on where you are from, so you hardly hear about Yoruba communities in Igboland, even though they exist and have community leaders, that no Igbo monarch care about their existence.

Lol! This is why this thread got deserted by Ndiigbo. It gets boring repeating same things over and over again.

The Yorubas were happy to allow the North to station in Western Nigeria, Lagos in particular to plan the war against Ndiigbo and Biafra.

All the weapons the North were using were shipped in through Yoruba ports that you gladly let them have.
Yorubaland was occupied by the Nigerian military top officials from where all plans to attack Biafra from Gakem were hatched, while Awo and Yoruba leaders claimed that Yorubas were too weak to liberate Yorubaland from the Northern soldiers.

You let someone stay in your house and throw stones at my house that broke my glass, and you wonder why I headed towards your house to fish out this enemy you so happily harboured and allowed to attack me, in your warped logic, you are innocent even though you refused to throw out this enemy out of your house to show me that you don't support his actions, but rather you expected me to leave you and this enemy in your house to continue throwing stones at my house.

The invasion was to sack the Nigerian industrial complex headquarters from Yorubaland where they had camped, because Awo had claimed that Yorubaland did not have enough soldiers to sack the Northerners. Though we know better now, which is the fact that Awo was secretly in support of their occupation of Yorubaland, which is the reason no Igbo man worth his salt takes the Yoruba dubious remarks of wanting a nation of their own serious. We know that all Yorubas want is one Nigeria, for obvious reasons.

Why didn't the Westerners enter the war to sack Northerners from your lands, if you truly wanted freedom like you deceive ignorant people? For your info, Yoruba accommodating northern presence in Yorubaland translates to only one thing, you were in support of their invasion of Biafra, and nobody right here is fooled with the story of Yorubas being neutral until before the Biafra invasion of Nigeria. Yorubas were part and parcel of Nigeria and were involved in the Aburi deliberations as Nigerians, so I wonder what neutrality you speak of.

Lol! Yorubaland is mainly nupe, dahomey, Fulani, Hausa and Bini enclave.
Oduduwa, a Bini son brought civilization to primitive Bush and barbaric Yoruba people, they even rule Lagos up till today, they gave Yorubas the word "Oba", the Lagos and Ife royalty are all Bini people who just learnt Yoruba language, many Yorubas today are actually Hausa and Fulani people, who invaded the land, met primitive useless Yoruba clans and introduced Islamic civilization and principles to them, they were even the ones who gave Yorubas a common name, "Yariiiba" translating to Barbaric people, which later got corrupted to Yoruba, Yoruba/ Yarijiba has no meaning in Yoruba language and no Yoruba town bears that name.

The Rest of Yoruba people are nupes who ransacked Katunga and reigned over primitive Yoruba tribes for decades, in the process they got assimilated into Yoruba language and culture, to retain power, as they were minorities. Just as the Fulani and Hausa people who populate Kwara today, but speak Yoruba, and has Yoruba culture, that Yorubas even erroneously mis label them as Yorubas had assimilated into Yoruba language and culture, it doesn't make them Yorubas.

Perhaps this mismatch of people of different origins in the primitive Yorubaland was the reason they were all bitter towards each other and was at each other's throat fighting local fatal battles and had to beg the British to colonize them all, if only to bring Peace to the land, as the primitive Yorubas didn't evolve enough socially to learn the delicate act of peace and conflict resolutions via dialogues and negotiations.

You are silly. You were but a vassal state in 1967-70, and had no hand in that war. Your region was occupied by a Fulani-HaUSA force that manipulated you to its will, which it self was under the British manipulation, but nevertheless, used you as they wished, and you think you can speak before free people that actually fought a war? You are pathetic.

I really pity the old man.Anytime I am on NL,he is always there twisting facts Before Nigeria,Yorubas were greater than Igbos. Before and after colonialism,,Yorubas were greater than Igbos. This 2016,Yorubas are still greater than them leading in education, less poverty, highest middle class,business,infrastructures-all the infrastructures in Igboland should be thrown into OYO STATE only and one would be amazed that all they boast of having are not more than 4 GRAs in Ibadan. The only thing they dominate is trading which is been overtaken by ICT controlled by Yorubas.
