Hi everyone. Please I need help. I have gotten my visa for one year and four months. At the point I applied for it, I wasn't aware that my course is two years lemme explain the first year is for academics and the second year is for work placement and its optional. Now my question is this, if I wish to go for the second year which is optional, how do I get my visa extended? If its possible to do, will I need to present any bank statement to that effect? Justwise, et al please help me before I leave Nigeria.

Ur school is in better position to give you the most valuable advice to that effect.kindly contact them first, let them know your situation because I believe they will advise and guide you appropriately.

Hi guys, what does it mean when they say they've sent your BRP to your school?basically, what's a BRP?

See its when u get to the IHS side in your application it generates for you the amount you would pay.

Its your biometric residency permit card that enables one live, work or study in the Uk without immigration restrictions and it has duration too. It means they ve sent it to your Uni and you gotta pick it from there when you get to school.

Will you go for the work placement before your final project?

Yes dear total i paid today was 477, 146k for both visa fees+Ihs+ Priority visa fee thou i calculated with the blackmarket rate for dollars and pounds and also my programme is 18mnths so it could ard 400plus some figures for yours @smartoes. My interview is on friday morning dear @hormolarry and thanks a bunch for the wishes i appreciate; Smartoes return the money back and if you wish to pay for the 24hour visa priority fees they would still confirm your bank statement.

You can apply to extend your visa while in the UK. When you get to your university ask for immigration advice service for more details.

You'll need to come back home and renew your visa, that is a new rule from ukba starting from April 2016.
Basically, you can only renew in the UK if you're progressing to a new level or taking a resit exam

Yes, you would need to show maintenance fund and tuition fees

Your tuition fees for the placement year might be free or just a stipend (get the actual fee from your school website)

Well ... As soon as you got your CAS, you should have spotted the error and raised with your University. I thought it was on ur CAS and would have referred you to email the entry clearance amendments team. Again you said it's optional so probably that's why.

I just hope I can sincerely. I just can't afford to be moving up and down for visa. Moreover the course is a new course. As at when I applied for admission, there wasn't enough information on the schools website I just went for the course cos it will help my career progression...
