Iwobi is a special kind of winger that brings to the table more than wings play.

He is not the stereotype kind of winger like Walcot, Chamberlain, Moses, Or Simon.

Some times I even imagine what he can do in the CMF position. Iwobi would have been AM but because there is an Ozil in the team he was converted to a winger. He plays so effortlessly and has brought a whole new dimension to wings play.

Ah! U are mixing things up. I think u need to know the difference between a number a 10 & an 8.
In a 4-5-1, 4-2-3,1, 4-1-4-1 or 4-4-1-1 the player behind the CF is the number 10. While in the 4-4-2 formation the second striker (supporting striker) is the number 8. Iheanacho and Etebo can function well as either 10 or 8 depending on how the team is set up.

Iwobi has mostly been played as a winger for the national team.Although he can also play the number 10 role.

Musa Mohammed had back up with Onazi drifting to the right back role when he overlapped.

Seems Rohr saw Onazi's game under Keshi, I think Congo where he played as a right back. When Musa Mohammed overlapped, Onazi covered during counters.

It looks nice. Against skillful and fast Algerians, that is a different question.

According to leaks gathered by
Owngoalnigeria.com, a new face could be in the
mix when the list of players for Nigeria’s first
2018 World Cup qualifiers is released next week.


Head coach of the Super Eagles Gernot Rohr has
kept the names on the list close to his chest but
news coming out has it that, he has asked the
Nigeria Football Federation to be on standby as
they could be needed to file a case to FIFA over
Kelvin Akpoguma who appears to have had a
change of heart.


Akpoguma has in the past maintained a strong
desire to continue playing for Germany after
progressing through their youth ranks but after
talks with Rohr and his parents. The 21 year old
could be included in Nigeria’s list for their World
Cup qualifiers.


Rohr and Akpoguma have come a long way right
from when he was in charge of the youth set up
of Germany. A tie he has used in good effect to
force the on loan Fortuna Dusseldorf defender
into having a rethink about his senior
international future.


So far, Akpoguma has been a stalwart at the back
for second division German side Fortuna
Dusseldorf playing every single minutes of their
first five games of the season.

As much as not all the chances fall to the striker, the conversion rate of the strikers is poor. If you count our missed chances in recent games, you will find out that from Emenike, Ideye, Ighalo, we have wasted a lot up front.

With Iheanacho, we have the striker with the best conversion rate in the EPL. Why waste that because we want to create more chances when we already create enough?

Akpoguma might not be ready for the super Eagles. He is not better than Omeruo, Ekong and Balogun.

Balogun is not a right back. How will you move your best CB to right back. If Akpoguma can play right back, he should start there.
