First date is to know more about each other and i don't see anything wrong with that or what do you mean by "meet" sex? Or

I would like some answers to the questions I am about to ask.
Am I demode for not following the track of trend or could I be right that what I am about to post is just wrong?

I recently just pulled the plug on an on and off 3 year relationship and joined the dating scene but what I have encountered is a far cry. I met with a couple of guys who are in their early thirties on different occasions and was expecting the usual get to know me better through chat and texts before properly meeting on a date. I would give some examples.

Ex. 1, I met mr A on my way from the bank, and less than 1 hour of meeting him, he asked that we meet. I declined. He kept pestering(I was very open with him chatted for a while so he got too comfortable with me I guess) and asked that I come to his place that same day less than 6 hours of just meeting him(a 1 minute conversation we had). After I refused and told him to cut contact as his desperation was out of hand, he called me a bitch.

Ex 2, I met Mr B who is also in his early thirties and less than 24 hours of knowing him, he's asking me to be his gf while he's still in a relationship.
I am astonished that people who are in their 30s are acting puerile. This is just one of too many. Is this the norm nowadays? I need answers. They are total strangers and meeting so soon to me is a no no. I don't need to know them for a year before meeting but they barely know me and I barely know them. Can someone tell me this isn't normal or is this the norm now?

How soon is too soon to meet on a first date?

On a serious note, some guys dey try sha ni! For this kind economic quagmire, na him guys still dey hustle toto like say na food. Worst part is, na even guys wey dey their thirties.

When I wanna date a girl, I don't go in with the impression that I wanna yank her (although this is an added spice to the relationship), I go in cuz I see a friend in her, one who'd make me laugh rather than give me unnecessary headache. If I know I can't afford such girls, I rather keep on being single..

Truth is there's no hard and fast rules to follow regarding matters of the heart.
What works for you possibly won't work for someone else.
