So after selling off all the assets of the country to resurrect an economy that has been designed to fail since 1914. What are they going to sell some years down the line when another recession hits again? If NLNG was sold by other leaders due to hardship while they ruled , will there be 5.5billion dollars bail out for states last year? Why are we so excellent in getting things wrong as a nation always? 2 Likes 1 Share |

modath: I bet you wouldn't be saying what you wrote up there was it the previous government suggesting the sale of these assets. You all (you know yourselves) should continue calling black white, the day of reckoning will come. By the way, NLNG is definitely not a non-performing asset, those in the industry know that. 1 Like |

ceemere: Exactly. Very visionless government, despite all the various loots they claim they have recovered, no one can see what was done with it, not to mention this. And yet we see the same group of people on nairaland defending every single thing the govt does, Buhari cannot be wrong, even when reality and all the indices say otherwise. |

Is it that Nigerians are too blind to see it or what?? Dangote's strategic investment plan is to sell forex to Nigeria. He said so himself. Now, if we sell these keys assets and he buys them up whether directly or indirectly, he will be one of our major source of forex and by so doing we've handed him our balls.. Brace up Nigerians, this is gonna be one tough ride. |

modath: What and what will be sold is the problem here, if its moribund assets like ajaokuta steel and the refineries, no problem including all our airports but that NLNG will finally deepen the Niger delta crisis, I hope someone has not finally misled PMB. We sold PHCN, still we don't have much to show and the people who bought it are even telling us that there will soon be blackout. The thinking of the average Nigerian is the problem whether private sector or public sector |

Foolish people we call our leaders. It is the kind of people we are that will produce as leaders, Nigerians are very lazy people, now we are in problem, the next foolish thought is sell ur asset. Wen we have so many untapped resource that can better our lives. I weep for posterity |

Please if we can't reject any thing, let us come together and reject sell of national assets especially oil assets. If we must sell any oil asset I can support sell of NNPC but it should not be done now that oil industry globally is low. Let us not forget easily what brought us to this stage. The then governors and the executive shared and useless the excess crude oil account. I don't know why we are still having about $2billion innexcess crude account. I think instead of borrowing that money can be used and let the federal government give detailed account of recovered monies. I pity the future generations unborn and we youths. This old fools are mortgaging our future for the gain for the now. That why people should be careful about the number of children the bring into this useless and selfish world. If you know you can't give those children 1000% (I mean one thousand percent) of the things you did not have as a kid, it will be wickedness to bring the child to this world. 1 Like |

Governors will sure support so far the proceed will be shared amongst state for them to spend. they give no hoot about the future generation so far they ve accumulated so much for their cronies, the same thing they did under the aegis of NGF led the CHIBUIKE amaechi then where they insisted for the sharing of excess crude account and now turn around today to blame okonjo iweala for their woes. the way out in Nigeria is revolution |

The same people clamoring for the sale will be the same people to acquire them, which makes me wonder if selling off national assets is in the best interest of the country seeing that the people in support only have personal interest to protect |
