THE Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, has appointed Daye Graham-Douglas as his Special Assistant on Street/Traffic Lights.

The governor in an online statement by his Special Assistant on Electronic Media, Simeon Nwakaudu, yesterday stated that the appointment took immediate effect.

I don't agree with you on this. This appointment is well deserved. It will be one of the best appointment in his government if the assistant truly work. Government is meant to deliver good public service. Traffic is the bane of some states in Nigeria like Lagos, Port Harcourt and even edo state now. YOU don't wanna know the economy lost caused by traffic and the lost of investment location.

A traffic assistant is to ensure free flow of traffic and report issues causing traffic with regard to solving it. He is to create a better traffic design which is a full course of its own in Engineering- Traffic Engineering. Mark the road for road users and punish offenders appropriately. Do you know the dedication to traffic in advance world? who wants to use one hour get to 10 mins distance? I rejected a job twice my salary in Lagos because of Traffic.
