Hi.....

Congrats on your admission.. I guess it is not late to start applying.

I'm just gonna stress on your NOT using an agent. Its my opinion but if you wanna, be sure to. It does not fasten any process neither does it guarantee your visa. Reputable or not!!! Basically, I think they qualify as reputable even if they are not as they convince you and get the cash.

Work on your application yourself and be as transparent as you can, like a really interesting book that needs to be read.

All the best
in respect to ur post,a family friend of ours (residing in Lagos) who applied on June 17th for PGC program at George brown college, got refused yesterday as he called me last Night talking bitterly. His regrets in addition was that the money too he wasted using an Agent though i told him not to when he was applying still he refused and went ahead..i no to understand this agent of a thing?

People don't hear.. They think the agents have 2 heads...

Sad..

If you go through all the treads here.. You will definitely do away with all agents..

It's well!

PLEASE don't waste your money on an agent..

If u have not paid yet.. Do it yourself!

But if u insist on paying an agent.. You can come and pay one of the gurus here and they will do a better Job at a cheaper rate than the agent you will pay ur serious thousands too..

And it doesn't speed up the application process!

I applied for a Canadian study visa on 13th of July and I was asked to do medicals on 15th of August ams I have not gotten a response since then. I tracked the passport and the status it is showing is that the processed passport has been dispatched from the Accra office to the Canadian Visa Center on 29th of August 2016.
Please should I be worried?

if only one can take time to read and ask questions, agents are not needed for any application, just join the group that suit your application, i realized even for immigration applications ,one do not need agent, just ask for the right group , a lot of peeps are willing to help..

I totally agree..

I came to the travel tread like June 2015 when my wife was about applying for her study permit..

I opened a tread asking a general question about filling some forms.. In less dan 2 mins.. @Justwise closed the tread and directed me to this page.. Then it was on Part 6 or 7 not sure..

and how God will have it.. We all got our visas on our first try without any agent(s)!!!

Thanks to this WONDERFUL tread and all the Gurus that have been here from time immemorial!!!

God Bless you all... smiley

Thanks for your reply, how will i explain the change of course in my sop/loe without giving the vo reasons to doubt my purpose of visit more. Won't that come out as desperation to the vo? Also i can remember i checked "diploma" instead of "certificate" in my online app tho my program is pgd, do you think that had any effect whatsoever to the reason of inconsistency ?
michV:
the VO told you inconsistency na cool, change course or get masters admission as your gcms note has left you with these options.

if you say so,those refused TRV twice for PGC(d) and later opted for masters program and became successful, the VO that handled their application did he/she say they are desperate?

There's no reason to be worried, call VFS to know if your passport is now in Nigeria. Justbbe hopeful about it. Its a two way thing. Ur visa fit don dry inside ur passport wink

Hi guys, I've been following this thread silently for a while now and I've basically read everything everyday since part one. I applied for my student visa on August 11th and was called for medicals September 15th. I've already missed the dead line for resumption since the 13th of this month and I had to push my admission to January but now I decided to use the visa for another school (heard you could do that if you're still on the secondary level) the school is set to resume on the 11th of October and my visa still isn't out. Meaning I can't pay my fees. In past posts people received their visa a week after medicals, highest was a week+ mine is going on 2 wks now. Do you think it's too late to change schools ? The previous school was bronte and the one I want to go to now is Colombia international college. Pls answer. Thanks

Hello House,

I applied for study permit application for PDC at Seneca college but later got accepted for MBA at University of New Brunswick. I notified CIC of this development via mycic account and also sent a mail to them which they confirmed that my record has been updated but my application was refused. Below reasons were checked.

1. Purpose of Visit.

2. Current Employment situation

I also submitted letter submitted a letter of introduction from employer.

Please how do I tackle these two reasons?

Good day to everyone here!.

This is my first time on this thread, i do hope you forgive me if some of my questions sounds silly.
I am looking into the possibility of studying further in Canada. Graduated with a CGPA of 3.33/5.0, Bsc Political Economics. What are my chances of getting a Msc admission in Canada? What are my other options if Msc is not possible? What is required in terms of finances? ( i mean how much should i have on ground before starting off).
Any other advises and inputs will surely be appreciated...

Thank you in anticipation..

reapply with your MBA and make sure your fund is okay, you will get it. The current employment situation was because of your previous program inconsistency/ purpose of visit for your previous intended program in relationship to your previous degree and work experience as CIC sees it.don't bother about "current employment situation".

I have not seen someone given Visa (Student) without medicals. If it is Open Work Permit, then it is possible to get Visa without medicals.

Though I didn't wait for this, here's what my GCMS reads:

For those who have been rejected, it's good to see a brighter perspective: CIC have shown you a way NOT to get refused again.

The odds can only sway in your favour on the next application.

Good luck to all Winter 2017 applications.
