Those structures you see there would first have to be demolished before renovation and fact is most peeps prefer to maintain status quo. The ironic thing is that quite a number of igbos live in abeokuta under those brown roof and they will not hesitate to make a protest of victimization if the government one day decides to renovate that area. 1 Like |

omofunaab: The question is; why are there still rusted, brown roofs in that area when they can all be changed to aluminum roofs. In other areas of Nigeria, modern aluminum roofs are the norm. In Yoruba land on the other hand, they're still stuck in the middle ages. They are not moving with the trend. Is it a sign of widespread penury in the area or what? Your guess is as good as mine. |
