Has anyone ever been told to pay more money for IHS?? |
Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 3 by Bourne007(m): 1:12pm On Oct 04, 2016 |
Depends on who's requesting. Is it UKVI? Ideally when paying IHS, it calculates the exact amount of ur length of course Me1124: |

Me1124:IHS fees is calculated based on your length of stay. What's the duration of your course? Is it for 12 months of 24months? |
Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 3 by Bourne007(m): 2:00pm On Oct 04, 2016 |
What's the duration of your course and how much did you pay? Are you sure email is from UKVI? How much are they now asking you to pay? Me1124: |

Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 3 by Me1124: 2:07pm On Oct 04, 2016 |
Bourne007: Welll its a one year extension.. the automated pay thing was £150 but it was meant to be 225 so 70 difference.. and yeah it was from them.. |
Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 3 by Bourne007(m): 2:38pm On Oct 04, 2016 |
Normally 12 months with additional 4 months hence the £225. Are you applying outside or within UK? Me1124: |
Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 3 by Me1124: 2:46pm On Oct 04, 2016 |
Bourne007: Outside the uk |
Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 3 by Bourne007(m): 3:07pm On Oct 04, 2016 |
Hope UKVI has sent instructions on how to pay. I think normally u will have to fill in the online application form again and only pay for IHS. you don't have to pay for the application fee. Me1124: |

Here to share my success story and I hope it gives someone else some hope. I submitted my application at Ikeja VAC 8/09/16. After submitting all supporting documents, I was given the self assessment form to go fill outside the gate. While filling the form, I realised I forgot to submit my ATAS certificate which I had, but forgot to print out. My heart sank when I realised this coz it would mean instant refusal. I quickly printed out the document from those vultures taking advantage of desperate people (expensive as hell). I informed the man at the gate of my missing document and he made it known to me that there was no way to include more supporting documents after submission. He was very brutal about it too. I pleaded for a while. He finally allowed me in coz I had to return the self assessment form. When I got in, I informed the lady at the counter of the missing document and without hesitating she directed me to the stall near the interview room where my other documents were at this point. I got there but the person there refused to accept the ATAS, but collected the assessment form. So I returned to the first lady at the counter and she collected the document from me. I left without seeing her include the ATAS with the rest document. So the following week, I had nightmares about been refused. The 3 weeks wait was hell. I spent every minute of the day expecting a refusal. To God be the glory, I picked up my visa today and almost fainted before opening the package. 'Twas successful. She included the missing document. God bless. 1 Like |

Also, I didn't include passport photographs when I submitted my application. I found out the next morning that that was ground for rejection. My school advised me to cancel and re-apply. So I requested a refund (cancel) and gave the reason: forgot to include passport photos. Cancelling to avoid rejection. Same day, I sent an email to UKVI asking whether passport photos where necessary. I received a reply next day that they were no longer required. I had already requested to cancel my application. Luckily who ever reviewed my request, used his/her own judgment to ignore my request because of the reason I gave. Peace to the people. |

If you have a UBA- issued card, its fine to use. But be aware that you will be charged at parallel market rate. 750 pounds will be equals 431,250 Naira only. oracle700:
