Thanks for your contributions on this forum. It has helped a lot. Unfortunately my application was refused on Friday 30th Sept. Reason no family ties even though am a mature student with husband and 2 kids here in naija and travel history. That un a way baffles me cos i have travelled to the uk like 3 times in the last 2 years +I have a valid US visa. I have requested for the GCMS note thru my cousin in canada cos I would like to reapply.

I have made a tuition deposit of $7500 to the school. Please do I need to inform the school at this point that my trv was refused.

Also, I will be travelling to the US in Nov for 5 weeks. Can I reapply from there as av checked the processing time which is 4 weeks.

Please I urgently need your advise. GOD bless you all.

Sorry o Madam, pls refire and don't be discouraged. Get the GCMS note to know the actual reasons. But did you submit marriage certificate and birth certificates of your kids? Then what level of study? Again, were you once denied visa to any country which you didn't disclose, or did you overstay in any of the countries without cogent reasons. Pls proffer answers to all these and let us at least throw some guesses

Hi guys,

For those who have done a paper application before, how can I get my UCI or application number? where can I find it?

Thanks
Since you have done paper application before, just skim through the corresponding letter the High Commission sent to you as regards to your previous application (showing the application no and UCI).

Do not be discouraged. But from my own opinion, I don't think you can apply from U.S. as only LA office attend to student applications with legal stay in the U.S.. As a visitor, you will need to have your biometrics done. For example, I have a valid U.S. and Canada visas but in order to change my status from visitor to student, I was urged to come to Nigeria for my application. I am presently in Nigeria as I applied last month for a status change. Thus, applying from the U.S. might be difficult.

Hello everyone. please I need advise here whether to go ahead or not. I already have admission for winter term 2017. and all my documents to apply for TRV is ready except for my sponsor SOA. he recently told me that his account is on debit but since last week till today he sent a message that he will build it with 2million and at the end of the month the turnover will be 7 million naira. I don't understand that terms and the turnover thing. please any advice on this issue or sud I defer till May 2017?
Note: my tuition is cad$5850

thanks. awaiting response (questions and answers)
bless u all
Are u sure your Sponsor actually said "at the end of the month the turnover will be 7 million naira" or do your sponsor mean at the end of the month the balance will be 7 million naira"?

Exercise patience as there are many in same shoe with you. Probably your sponsor is a biz man and given the economic situation, many biz men uses this time to buy goods in bulk as the price of goods increases. Your job now is always remind your sponsor about the processing time. To be frank with you, 2 million Naira as Sponsor's SOA balance is small. Your sponsor can make his SOA balance to be 7 million Naira.

Yes, he has, I think CIC is just relaxing with our applications, knowing we are resuming in January. They feel no need for rushing. My opinion sa.

You may be right. considering the processing time of 16 weeks, i think we should just hope for the best. It will end in praise.

I would authoritatively say that Canada no longer want PGD(C) and the chances are 11/100 applicants if chosen. Don't ask me why but i have a cogent convincing fact about this.i would advise that if you r reapplying with PGD or PGc, better look up for another country cos you MIGHT be disappointed again or get lucky..
For those quoting me for contributions on post, i have to channel my time for another study thread i have interest in applying to and push my energy for those countries.
Im off here for the mean time pending...... *1love..*1hustle

Bro, why cant you give canada one more chance with a masters admission. You should be able to get masters admission if you give it what it takes. I wish you well in your endeavours.
