faskare: Hmmm who gave you this kind of advice bro? - to travel from US to Nigeria to apply to change your Canadian status? So you left the US where you have better chances of getting Canadian study permit in 4wks to come to Nigeria with xtraodinary refusal rate and 16wks processing time to apply for study permit? @teleayomi Well the fact is that you can apply for Canadian study permit from the US if you're legally admitted to the US. All you need do is go in person to VIsa Application Center (VAC) in Los Angeles, or you apply online and use the services of Application Support Center (ASC) operated by the US Citizenship & Immigration Services close to where you live (in the US) to provide your biometrics to CIC. 2 Likes |

dearnursedeee: Although I have no authority over below information, I guess it's worth sharing. Leaving after study is a reflection of whole package but having a job in Nigeria with monthly salary reflecting in your account or married help. 2. Purpose of visit: masters or PhD better than PGD if you GP can do it. Am also tempted to PhD in university may help too. 3. Personal asset and financial status : you need assest in your name e.g. car, land, shares, etc. In your name not family name. Caution: I have no visa application experience. |

Thanks lawmerchant and Faskare for your comments but am kinda confused now. Can you please shed more light on the term " legally admitted" into a country? In my own understanding can it mean if you have a valid visa to the US but does not live in the US or lives therefor a short period you can file your Canada application using the visa office in US. Please can i also get more comments or opinion from the house regarding applying for trv from the US with a B1/B2 visa. Thanks. |

Someone in Canada should please help me with my gcms note, I was refused last week based on "purpose of visit" and "current employment situation" after showing them a reference letter from my uncle's company, stating that I've been working with them since 2012, no payslip or employment letter was added though. I really need this gcms note so that I can refire soon, my admission has been deferred to January 2017 |

Good day friends, I was contacted on 27/09/2016 to provide another offer letter since the former has expired. I sent the new offer a day after via the email address provided by them but am yet to hear from them. My fear is that I needed an acknowledgement or confirmation that my mail was duly received cause I was giving 14 days to do so. please good ones, what are your taught on this. Thank you |

Re: Travelling To Canada Part 11 by Nobody: 1:52pm On Oct 05, 2016 |
Crosscheck the email address you sent the offer letter to and resend it. There is nothing wrong if you send the offer letter five times to the email provided by the consulate. Believe me this will be your last shoot and must be approved. pabb: 1 Like |

Re: Travelling To Canada Part 11 by faskare: 2:29pm On Oct 05, 2016 |
teleayomi:Thanks jj17cv,you gave the best explanation. Having a B1/B2 visa you are allowed into the U.S. for a maximum period of 6months this does not mean you can apply for visa to another country. This is because as a visitor, you can't work which might affect the person's assessment but as a student, you can apply to any country and your chances are higher. To confirm you can send a mail on general enquiries to la-info@csc-cvac.com. Many thanks 1 Like |

Mikymiko: Yes @Mikymiko. He said turnover at the end of the month. so what do u think now i do? can i ask him also if he can tender a fixed account for my application? and with one year expenses on my offer letter which is $cad 19645 maximum + my tuition $cad 5850... can i still tender SOA of 7million balance if at all i can talk to him to increase the money. and again the man is a bizness man. thanks |
