OK first of all i am posting pictures of the Nigerian military, mostly from skyscrapercity and other online sources of pictures The nigerian military is a highly proffesional fighting force especially since the return of democracy.it has distinguished itself abroad in terms of peacekeeping all around the world Today, Nigeria leads the world in international peacekeeping. Of the 80 countries contributing troops to over 20 global operations, Nigeria has more than 6,500 men keeping the peace outside its borders in places such as Bosnia Herzgovena, Iraq, Kuwait, Western Sahara, Liberia, Angola, Rwanda. Nigerian troops have also served in Somalia, Mozambique and Cambodia, The Congo, Chad, Lebanon, India, Pakistan (Kashmir). The key thing in global peacekeeping are the men and women risking their lives in the interest of peace. Nigeria has more of those people than any other country in the world. the military is also helping to quell occasional outburst of violence anywhere in the country, like the boko-haram crises that was just crushed in northern nigeria below are pics and some random information about the pictures from online sources |

Excellent pictures but where were all these machines when the Niger Delta was boiling with militants? Anyway, i hope they remember that charity begins at home. After keeping peace in other countries, we should not continue to leave our country in pieces. |

Good one man. But I have 2 simple questions for our military. we do build most of our rifles at the defense industries corporation of nigeria(DICON) in kaduna we also build locally made APC(armoured personel carriers),in collaboration with steyr and some other car manufacturers in nigeria we do build the air beetle also we have naval dockyard in lagos that builds and repairs ships for the navy we have a long way to go but we are still moving in the right direction |
Re: Tribute To Nigerian Military In Pictures by Sammy107d(m): 5:06pm On Nov 27, 2009 |
saintneo:The most basic trainer jets in the Nigerian Air force (the beetles), light weapons (AKs and rocket launchers), personnel carriers, and military uniforms are made in Nigeria. Sophisticated air and amphibious equipment are already maintained and refurbished in the country. Advance weapon production capacity is being improved upon daily. People need to give up their default cynical mindset. 1 Like |
