The more dangerous chances came from the right, if only kalanga had better delivery after roasting Ndidi.

The goal was from a poor cross that had no business reaching the striker.

Elderson had an ok performance. He was not brilliant but Ndidi was shaky all through.

I see it as a choice. I feel positioning is important. Kalaba also got chances from our left. It was Omeruo's agility that helped our left, not Echiejile's defending. That is why I was impressed with him. If you think back, there were times camera picked Omeruo running back to his position after intercepting.
I do not want to dwell too much in this because it seems I am knocking the hero.

Not true, omeruo was not that prominent on the left.. i remember several times iwobi backing up elderson. He was certainly back.

Perhaps simon also did not do a good job of supporting ndidi.

Simon Moses work rate was high. He put in a lot of running. I see him making the next starting line-up. On a better pitch he would cause more problems.

I think Ive highlited our three centre back stats earlier on this thread. Omeruo, Ekong and Balogun. From what the stats say, Ekong is the better passer of the three, Balogun is a better ariel ball winner than the three, closely followed by Ekong because of height advantage (they both are 1.90m,while Omeruo stands at 1.85m),but Omeruo generally in defensive actions like tackles, blocks, interceptions and clearances was better than the other two.
Today, he proved me right! In terms of his all round defensive contributions, that is interceptions, blocks and clearances he was a monster. Numbers don't lie,the match today proved that yet again. Although, his distribution is still not up to scratch.

We seemed to have attained some level of stability in certain positions in the team. Inviting new players would be a bid for us to have near stability in other positions too.

Hell no. Simon has refused to graduate his game. He plays like Pius Ikedia and Manga Mohammed. He does not have good awareness of the positioning of his team mates. See that chance he blasted away in the first half after wringling through those 2 defenders. Rather than laying a simple pass to Ideye he blasted the ball.
He makes blind runs and makes blind crosses.

Did u not see how Iwobi played from the wings?

I think Rohr is slowly building the team. He has his first picks. Makes few experiments. Like Musa Mohammed on the right and Ndidi today.

He is taking his time to assess his team. Like calling Agbo this time and Awaziem before. If he makes changes, he will do it slow and steady.
