A country where all the citizens are experts in complaining is nothing but land inhibited by cowards who die many times before their death according to Shakespeare. This is a nation where those who are killing us are courted and respected.Imagine the number of people who were visiting Bode George,a man who misappropriated about more than $500m of government funds that can guarantee free university education to all youths in Nigeria.Despite the enormous wealth inherent, the government cannot guarantee steady power, good roads, functional health care and education and affordable housing. The citizens are disfranchised because the elections are rigged. What I see are citizens who can only spit fire but cannot act.If you query them, they rant that they are protecting the unity of a country that is worse than Somalia that is war-torn.All they do is to admire Ghana. They refuse to recognize that all good governments and economies on planet earth were heralded by a revolution of a sought. We know what took place in our neighboring country Ghana before they got to this stage. The velvet revolution in Poland solved the problems of that country.Yugoslavia had to split into seven country as at today before they started moving forward. We are waiting for the hand of God to change things for us.Instead of God answering us He rather listen to serious countries who want to move forward.Instead of Nigerians calling on a sick president to resign, the cowards in Nigeria want him even if he is coma.It amuses me to see all these groups who come to Nairaland to form Internet "revolutionary fronts".We have over 150million people in this country. If 20 million can take to the streets of every state capital and Abuja in this country as is done in many Asia countries there will be serious change.Instead of taking to the streets to demand the implementation of the UWAIS report so as to wrestle the power to appoint the INEC chairman from president,we are yet relaxed and waiting for another electoral fiasco. What are Nigerians? They are all cowards in capital letters.

What? Better a living goat than a dead lion? Is that kind of in the same category as that miserable saying that IGNORANCE is BLISS? Please, Please STOP that. It is better to die FIGHTING than to live a COWARD, breeding more cowards, and expecting things to SELF correct. People who do that RARELY ever enjoy any benefits in that state. History has so many examples of that to boot.

By the way, Ignorance is NOT bliss.

indeed. sadly the people that say this are usually forgetten before they die!

It is better to live just 1-day like a lion instead of 100-days like a sheep.

Thats true, the "it go betta mentality", is what has lead to the current situation, there is no invisible hand that will self correct all these problems.

This is a sorry and pitiful way to label yourself. I would have expressed some delight if you had shown instances where you actually did take some action! Calling yourself a coward, that is if you are a Nigerian, through a gather-all cloister system is in itself a deeper form of cowardice than that which you tag others with. You have to prove your bravery first to have the indubitable right to regard others as cowards

Why hating d poster? He is right. All we do is complain with no suggestion for action. We call for revolution, no one wants to lead or participates. How many of u are willing to die 4 Nigeria? Nigerians are not just cowards but very selfish too.

Let someone give me an example of 1 country where people sat and just complain and they got a change they desired.

Wow!! You proved the OP right!!.

When I'm faced with topics like this one here, I just shut up cause it's a sad truth. And you can't really argue this topic even if you bash the poster, it doesn't change the truth it only makes you feel good momentarily until the next bad news about Nigeria comes up. We have brave Nigerians but one tree don't make a forest.  If the OP is a Nigerian, then he or she knows fully well that he or she is whatever he or she calls Nigerians.

Its like most people commenting on this topic seem not to understand what the poster is driving at. He said we all are cowards meaning that we desire a positive change in our country's socio-ecomonic and political settings.but nobody is willing to take the bull by the horn. My anger with the poster is this, (1) before u call everybody a coward prove to us the significant efforts u have made to move ur local govt foward talk more of naija (2) he was complaining rather than spearhead the attack which makes him the 1st recorded coward in nairaland.(3) i doubt if the complainant is a true born citizen of nigeria.

Nigeria is such a complex entity---  that there is no point in calling Nigerians cowards--- take time to understand and figure out who stakeholders are---- the you will know

Dele Giwa
Mrs. Anikulapo-Kuti <Iya Fela>
Iyawo Abiola <Mrs Kudirat>

I am urging you my fellow youths to join me in this movement (We vote group) to strategize and change our country come the 2023 elections.

its not about voting political candidates especially the presidential but to demand a change in from the unitary system of govt and move back to regional system.

we the youths are the 2/3 of this population & we have been retrogressed far too much by the old political elites.

join me I pray.
